Chapter Seven
Girls Like You
"Seriously, Asia... what's up between you and Tiu number two?" Yannie asked. Nandito siya ngayon sa condo ko. Hindi na kasi ako pumasok sa klase, I was well aware that the whole block would just talk about what happened earlier. I just texted Yannie to come over here, she said na napunta daw sa dean office iyong babae at hindi naman daw siya sinaktan ng magkakapatid na Tiu kaya nakahinga na ako ng maluwag.
"Wala," I said as I kept myself busy watching NatGeo on TV. Ang mema ko lang talaga sometimes! I just didn't want to talk about Tiu, hanggang ngayon naiinis pa rin ako sa kanya kahit wala na siyang ginagawa! He's that annoying.
"Sure ka? Wala talaga?" she asked.
"Wala nga."
"Then, why does he treat you like that? He treats you differently... and everyone could see that," she said. "Achaia's a snob, you know that, right? Sure, he is a Tiu... but from what I know, he is the most different among them. He's so picky when it comes to girls... kaya naman mas nagugustuhan siya ng mga babae kasi feeling nila challenge iyong magustuhan ka ng isang Achaia Tiu."
I frowned. "The hell I care if he's picky. He's not my type, end of discussion."
"Di ba you told me na you went home with him that night at Duane's party?"
I nodded. "Yeah, but I can't remember anything about that night na, Yannie. All I can remember is that I got drunk with China... then, poof! The next morning I was in his fucking bed," I sarcastically smiled at her. I wasn't in the mood! Especially if we are going to talk about that tiunggo!
"Pero, mukhang type ka niya..." she wondered out loud.
"Not my feelings, so... wala pa din akong pake."
"He just saved me because he knew that he was the reason why that girl was so mad at me," sabi ko sa kanya. Nakatingin pa din ako sa TV. Oh, mandarin duck... interesting. I should watch NatGeo more.
"Is that all?" she asked.
"Yeah. Pwede ba 'wag na natin siyang pag-usapan? Kasi nasisira lang lalo 'yung araw ko," I told her. If I was another girl, she would've been already kicked out from our school.
"'Di mo ba siya type?" mahinhin niyang tanong. As usual.
I glared at her. "Mukha bang type ko 'yung tiunggo na 'yon?!" I unbelievably asked her.
Tumawa lang siya ng tumawa sa akin.
"Hindi! Asa ka pa naman! Never ko 'yun magiging type. N-e-v-e-r, never!" I told her but she just continued laughing.
"Dahan-dahan lang... baka mamaya kainin mo 'yang sinabi mo," she smiled with a hint of malice. Look at this girl! Marunong na rin siyang mang-asar!
I rolled my eyes at her. "Asa."

"Go, Duane!" I cheered. They had a game against SFA today. Magaling ang Saint Francis Academy dahil sila iyong champions talaga when it comes to basketball.
