Pt 2. Cool Kids

Hailee's P.O.V

Class was finally over which meant it was finally time for lunch. The whole day I just couldn't stop smiling and overall being in a great mood. Thinking about (y/n) and how we kissed out on the soccer field. I could still feel her lips on mind. (Y/N)  likes me. I thought to myself continuing to smile away.

It has been a couple of weeks since that day. (Y/N)'s soccer team ended up winning the championship, and her and I have been spending a lot of time together too.

I was brought out of my trance when I felt someone wrap their arm around me and another holding my arm. I turn my head to both directions and saw Selena and Taylor looking at me. They had smug looks on their faces.

"So, you, and your girlfriend" Selena smirked raising her eye brows up and down a couple of times.

"She's not my girlfriend" I sighed.

"Not yet. I saw you to down by the field. Something clearly happened." Taylor crossed her arms. She half laughed before nudging my arm. "Come on spill"

"Okay, okay something did happened" I began. I told Selena and Taylor everything that happened a few weeks ago. From Lauren pushing me against the lockers to (y/n) kissing me. I wanted to keep it a secret in case (y/n) wasn't comfort with me telling my friends but like always the two just couldn't stop pushing. But Both were excited and happy for me that I finally got somewhere with my long time crush. It didn't stop the taunting and teasing from both girls though. 

It wasn't long before we walked into the cafeteria and grabbed our lunch. All 3 of us were looking around trying to find an empty space to sit and eat but everyone decided to eat in the cafeteria today. Normally the seniors would leave and eat outside of school, maybe some juniors if they were cool with the seniors but this time everyone was in the cafeteria.

I looked around and it finally made sense. (Y/N) was in the cafeteria sitting down on one of the tables holding a soccer ball in her hands. Everyone around her was focused on her. Like she was telling a story to little kids. All in awe. I saw (y/n) get up when the soccer coach approached her. She smiled tossing the ball to one of her team mates.

"Hey Hailee over here" I heard my name being shouted at across the room. I looked around and saw a girl waving. She had long straight hair and tan caramel skin. "Hailee" she said cheerfully running up to me along with two other of her friends.

"Z-zendaya, Gigi, Ariana" I said happily.

"You're joining us for lunch right" Ariana wrapped her arm around my shoulder pulling me closer to her.

"We saved you a seat" Gigi said sweetly.

"Yeah sure... but Uh Can my friends join" I asked pointed towards Selena and Taylor. All 3 girls looked at one another before Gigi pushed Ariana forward a bit.

"Thing is, we only saved a seat for you" Ariana said.

"Go we'll be fine" I heard Selena say happily.

"Yeah, I mean we can hang out later" Taylor added trying to get me to go with them. I gave them a tight lip smile before mouthing a 'Later' and walking towards the cool kids table. I was so nervous I couldn't help but tense up.

I felt eyes on me and it send shivers down my spine. I turned my head to see Lauren by the cafeteria doors looking at me. She gave me a smirk before walking out of the building entirely. What is she thinking. I mentally thought. After what happened, I knew Lauren was out to get me. (Y/n) told me not to worry about her, but she was intimidating.
