Chris couldn't believe how reckless he'd been. He went through the motions, taking photos with more fans and turning on the charm all the while. But he was in turmoil on the inside. He'd been taken by surprise when Wyatt had turned up right in front of him. He'd been completely knocked off of his feet in that instance. Then he'd stupidly flirted with him. In front of everyone.

Bridal style? Really?

As he moved away from the area, he focused on how it had felt to be so near Wyatt. To feel his hand in his and look down into those grey eyes. He'd seen the unmistakable glint of attraction in them, which had only added fuel to the fire. He recognized the cute awkwardness of someone who'd met their crush and it had done Chris in. He couldn't resist the urge to have a hand on him. When the subject of poses had been left momentarily undecided he couldn't help himself.

The look on Wyatt's face when Chris picked him up had been priceless. Surprised and a little frightened, but quickly eager to compose himself. Then came the awkward fumbling of words that made Chris only want to be near him longer. Then came that blush. That had been the final nail in the coffin. The adorable flushing of Wyatt's cheeks as he corrected himself, then said goodbye and hurried away. Chris wanted to pull him back more than anything else.

"There you are," Evans said as he walked backstage and found Chris pacing. He stopped short of the Aussie and tilted his head. "Seriously, man, you've got to tell me what's eating at you."

Chris sighed and leaned against the wall. "If I tell you something will you promise to keep it between us?"

"Absolutely," Evans said without hesitation.

Okay, here goes nothing, Chris told himself as he prepared to come clean.

"I'm being serious, man; if something is going on and you need a friend, I'm there."

Chris smiled softly. "Well, it's probably a good thing it's you I'm reaching out to, seeing how your brother is gay too."

Evans' face slowly shifted from a look of concern to happiness. He held his arms out. "Bring it in, man," he said as he drew Chris into a hug, patting his back. "I'm proud of you."

Chris stepped back and shrugged. "I don't know if pride is what I'm feeling right now. Maybe a tiny bit of relief more than anything."

"Does anyone else know?"

"No one."

Evans nodded. "Well, I'm touched that you told me first."

"You don't sound too surprised."

Evans shrugged. "To be honest, there isn't much that surprises me. I accepted that people are complex and layered a long time ago. To be honest, I did kind of wonder."

Chris chuckled. "What gave me away?"

"The fact that you're still single. Looking the way you do, you're either gay or a sociopath. Not that those two things are mutually exclusive."

"Good to know."

"It's just a joke." Evans smiled. "Feel better?"

"Yeah. A little...lighter."

"So I have to ask," Evans said. "Have you ever? With a man?"

Chris shook his head. "Nope. I mean, I think about it. A lot."

Evans sighed and slapped a hand on Chris's shoulder. "Dude. You should..."

"No! Absolutely no way," Chris cut him off. "If I did it I would have to be completely discreet. Which won't happen. Can you imagine anyone staying quiet about Chris Hemsworth fucking them? It would be impossible."
