A Chance Encounter (Chris Hemsworth X OMC)

Surprise

Wyatt stepped out of the limo in front of Chris's house and walked up the steps to the front door. He entered expecting the others to be nearby but found the house strangely quiet. He gave a light scowl as he began the task of seeking them out. He thought for sure that they'd be in the big media room but found it completely empty. He stood against the threshold and folded his arms over his chest.

The Halloween theme suddenly began to play in the distance. Wyatt followed the sound through the back of the house and out to the backyard where he was immediately greeted with a large crowd yelling "SURPRISE!"

Wyatt was completely taken by surprise. Standing out on the large patio with a bunch of jack o'lantern lights strung overhead were Chris, Liam and Miley in addition to the Avengers cast that Wyatt had already met, along with Scarlett Johansson. And standing among them he spotted Darren, Elizabeth and Allie. The entire group was standing around a massive cake that had been sculpted to look like the Halloween film poster and there were. An overwhelming sensation gripped Wyatt as the group cheered him on.

Chris moved out of the crowd, his long legs quickly bringing him right up to Wyatt. Without even an ounce of hesitation, he scooped him up on his arms and spun him around as the others continued to cheer.

"You were amazing!" Chris shouted as he reached out and held Wyatt's face. "Bloody brilliant!"

Together, the two of them joined the others. As the cake was being cut, everyone surrounded Wyatt to congratulate him on his big night.

"So, I'm pretty offended I didn't get to meet you when the guys did," Scarlett said with mock indignation as she hugged him. She leaned back and looked over at Chris and gave him a nod of approval. "You've got good taste, Chris," she said as she winked at Wyatt.

Allie walked up and handed Wyatt a drink. "Drink up, you big movie star."

Wyatt clinked his glass against hers, Darren's and Elizabeth's and the four friends stood together, each of them knowing that this was yet another milestone in their long, storied friendship.

"Okay, it's my turn," Miley said as she walked up and put an arm around Wyatt. "So, as someone else who happens to be dating a Hemsworth, we have to stick together. They're a special breed."

Wyatt smiled brightly. "Yeah, Chris is definitely a handful." He blushed when Miley lifted an eyebrow at his word choice.

"Oh, Chris, he's too fucking cute," Miley gushed. "What did you do to deserve him?"

Chris shrugged his shoulders. "Beats the hell out of me," he chuckled before accepting a drink from Evans.

"It might have something to do with him being a handful!" Jeremy bellowed. "Anyone else remember when we were playing volleyball and Wyatt got distracted by Chris and took a volleyball to the face?"

Wyatt shook his head. "Okay, I wasn't that distracted."

"Bullshit," Robert called out. "You were a space case. You even had those swirls in your eyes!"

Wyatt shook his head again. "Okay, so maybe I was a little distracted," he confessed.

Chris walked over and wrapped an arm around him and kissed him. "It's alright, babe. I get pretty distracted by you, too."

Miley laid a hand on her chest and made a pouty face. "Can I just say, I am so happy this is happening. For as long as I've known you, I've always felt like there was something missing in your life."

Chris shrugged his shoulders and looked down at Wyatt. "Yeah, I guess that's probably a safe bet."

The celebrations kicked into high gear with music, laughter, and dancing. No matter where Chris and Wyatt were in the party, they always looked at each other m and shared a smile.
