It had been more than thirty minutes and Swara's head was throbbing with the amount of accusation Mrs. Dhillon had. Aarav on the other hand was glancing at Swara from time to time, expecting her to reply but she was patiently listening to Mrs. Dhillon.
Suddenly, Swara joined her palms together "Roshni ji! I apologize for whatever my son has done." Aarav was disgusted for the way she apologized. Swara looked at Aarav
"Aarav! Apologize for pushing him." It looked like Aarav was about to throw up.
This five year old boy was already big to be a five year old. He didn't tell her but Swara could see his eyes in tears and she realized he knew he wasn't satisfied because it wasn't him who started it.
Roshni immediately accepted the apology and she was shocked as to how smoothly Swara apologized not defending her son even once. Anyhow, Roshni had met Aarav's real mother and she knew Swara was his step mom.
Swara greeted everyone before taking her leave when Roshni let out a comment.
"I wanted to meet this boy's parent but now I feel bad as to how unlucky he is...Swarishka ji, just apologized at once not trying to defend him even once...I guess he's her step son, so why would she waste her energy on defending the person who is the only living proof of the love her husband and his first wife shared."
Swara lost all boundaries of patience. She was quite till now because she was respecting the school norms...and also because they were five year old kids, who needed to learn how to handle situations in their lives. Not every time they'll have their parents to stand by their side.
Swara spun around in annoyance and stomped over to Roshni who definitely loved to pick up fights.
"What did you just say? Roshni ji?" Swara began.
Roshni began meddling with her expensive shiny purse "I just felt bad for this boy to have a step mother...I mean isn't it normal for you to not being able to love an other woman's child, You wouldn't even know what mother hood is."
"Mrs. Roshni Dhillon! You don't need to feel bad for my son or me at any time. As you said another woman's child doesn't change the fact that I am a woman too...and motherhood just doesn't mean giving birth it also means bringing up the child. I am sure you haven't heard of lord Krishna because if you would have... You wouldn't' have taken out such foolish words from your mouth but I'm sorry, I mean if giving birth is the only definition of a mother, what about inculcating the right values? " Swara spat out.
"What the hell do you think you are saying?" Roshni was fuming in anger.
"Facts! Roshni ji, Facts!...I apologized to you because I know you felt bad for the way your son was hurt...and my son apologized because it was wrong for him to push not only your son but any one that way. I taught him the right values here... don't hesitate to apologize if you are wrong." Swara stated.
The principal tried calming the situation but it wasn't working.
Aarav on the other hand was staring at Swara with amusement...He had a slight smile on his lips when Swara finally spoke against this lady. Every time, she said 'my son'...Aarav was somehow feeling happy...for the first time in one year he felt like he wasn't alone.
Kunal was definitely trying his best to be a father but he couldn't always be around Aarav...It was always his mother before she died and now? looks like he got a new person to be by his side.
"You say that giving birth to a baby is what makes a mother right? Then I feel sorry for him Mrs. Dhillon...." Swara gestured towards Rohan. "... because he has a mother who is blinded by love and ego...who doesn't even have the courtesy to inculcate him with the right values...Take my suggestion and take classes of inculcating the right values in your child...I can teach you too...It wouldn't cost you a single penny Mrs. Dhillon but if it costs highly of your ego, then you can think it over." Swara had left the principal and Roshni, speechless.
She grabbed Aarav's hand and began walking out of the room before glancing one last time at the principal ."I still take the full responsibility of the way my son reacted but..." Swara stared right through the principal's soul."...if students are not being taught to respect each other, accept their mistakes and learn from them, I will change my son's school. I will not let him be in a place that teaches how to feed your ego." Swara stated.
Swara had no clue but Kunal had always made a lot of contribution in developing the school. If he was to switch Aarav's school. This might affect the school in many ways.
"No! Ma'am, we're extremely sorry." The principal stated.
Before her final exit she stared at Roshni Dhillon, who was burning in rage. "Next time my son gets trolled for any nonsense reason...his MOTHER won't let things slide this easily." Swara warned.

The moment Swara took Aarav back to the car...he hopped on to the co passenger seat and said "I thought you didn't believe me that is why you apologized."
Swara began igniting the car but upon hearing Aarav's words she halted and gave out one big sigh.
"I apologized because she was hurt seeing her son her hurt." Swara replied.
"So...that means you weren't angry at me?" Aarav innocently questioned that pushed Swara into thinking, 'does my perception matter to him?'
"Well! Pushing was not really a clever idea but the others were not something you are to be blamed for." Swara said ruffling his hair.
"So you asked me to apologize only because I pushed him that bad not because you blamed me for whatever happened in there?" He further questioned.
Swara chuckled, replying " Why would I blame you? I know you wouldn't lie about something like that but....Pushing is not an option ok? If someone is orally fighting make sure you fight back orally too....but if a person slaps on your cheek--"
"Then you should bring forward the other cheek too. I know this is what Gandhi Ji said." Aarav continued.
"Umm....well he did say that but...he was a saint and not all of us can be saints so...If a person slaps on your cheek make sure you slap on both of their cheeks and show them what Aarav Kunal Roy Chand is made of." Swara gathered her fingers into a fist, trying to expose her skinny biceps.
Aarav laughed like a crazy and suddenly seeing him laugh like that made Swara's heart dance in happiness. After all, for the first time he was laughing because of her.
He sighed in relief and rested his head on the seat. "That means you wouldn't tell papa?" He questioned again.
Swara narrowed her eyes and looked at him.
"Umm...you sure Dr. Kunal shouldn't know about anything that happened in there?" Swara was confused...how could she not tell Kunal something so important about his son?
"If you promise not to tell him...I'll let you sleep on the bed." Aarav tried bargaining.
Swara's throbbing neck, screamed saying her to accept the offer and without any further questions she agreed. "Ok! Cool!"
The car fell silent. It was still afternoon and Swara sure couldn't go back to the hospital after what happened. Grabbing this opportunity she suggested "Ice-cream?"
Aarav snapped his neck towards her, his eyes were lit in excitement. "Sure!"
