"Stay here! Aunty Jen will be back in some time okie?" Jenifer caressed Vini's head...while Vini sat in one corner upset that her mother didn't take her out for a movie instead.
As time passed by Vini got bored and her curiosity about this place increased. She started roaming around...exploring the place she was in and watching the renovation go on had actually got her impressed....these were all those designs she'd seen her mother draw in sheets of paper....and no wonder the looked aesthetically appealing in reality.
The right wing of the building was somewhat complete...but the left wing was still under development...
Vini strolled to the left wing of the building, imagining all sorts of horror stories that at one point sent shivers down her spine.
She realized it was a mistake to be here and maybe one of those furry monsters might be out here to eat her up and not leave a single piece of her bone remaining.
She heard footsteps from behind an she freaked.
She ran away from those footsteps....on to the stairs...climbing it and running as fast as possible, as many floors as possible.
The child's imagination was vast and terrifying.
As she continued to hear some bangs and random noises....Vini freaked out further.
As a drop of tear rolled down her cheek....she missed her mother.
She tried yelling out for her mother but failed to do so...as her vocal chords refused to function.
Vini freaked out at hearing the sounds of laughter echoing in there. She began crying...scared.
She saw a room on the other side of the hall....away from the echoes...and decided that to be the best place to hide...she ran inside, closing the raw wooden door behind her and when she didn't feel any safer, she found a glass cabin that was small and at first made her feel safe.
The door of this small cabin was made of glass....and it was small as if the size of a suitcase.
It was initially made with an intention to place the batteries and other electrical equipment inside it but that wasn't something Vini knew.
She bent and began crawling into the cabin...when the dust and raw wood pieces pierced through her skin ..and eventually wounded her knees.
Getting into the glass cabin she held her knees and cried in pain..as they were beginning to bleed.
Another strike of fear and she shut the glass door of the cabin.
After a long silence... Vini began shivering as the atmosphere turned cold.
Her eyes were shutting close but she remained awake until possible.
The little girl was terrified, tired and hurt.
The only hope she held on to, was belief.
She believed that her mother would rescue her....that her mother would find her....that her mother would conquer the world if it meant securing her.
Because that's what mums do.
And that's something her mum does everyday for them.
Vini curled herself....her knees touching her chest as she lay down on the cold floor....trying to stay awake.
She didn't know how much time had passed...but slowly she felt as if the small room was eating away her breath...she was breathless ...and she tried hard to breathe normally ...
"Vini"
Vini heard her mom's voice and smiled in happiness.
She didn't know how long she'd been stuck there. All she was scared of was the fact that if she went out the furry monster would be waiting to eat her up.
