Swara woke up from her deep slumber with a terrible headache.
"Ahh! Shoot My head!" Swara's head was killing her.
Suddenly when the events from last night played in front of her, she freaked out sitting on the bed she slept last night.
"Good morning?"
She did not expect him of all people to be seated in front of her .
"G-Good morning Aarav!" She tried smiling.
"Are you feeling well?" Aarav's question took her by surprise.
Is he worried?; Swara couldn't help but smile at the thought of her being accepted.
"Y-Yes! I am fine, Thanks Aarav." Swara was overwhelmed.
"Sign this!" Aarav handed her a paper that had his school's name written in broad letters.
"Wh-What's this?" She asked.
"Don't you know abcd?" He questioned, making Swara narrow her eyes in embarrassment.
"Ok! I'll read it!" Swara replied reading the paper, which was actually a circular from school.
"Dear parents...." Swara began.
"Wait! This is a school trip? but why? you are only five." Swara counter questioned.
"Just sign it. Didn't you say that day, that after you married papa you also became my mumma? Then just sign it." He yelled.
"Yes, but Aarav! This is a one day trip. You have to ask papa and Dadi right?" Swara tried convincing.
Aarav snatched the circular from Swara's hand..."I knew you were not my Mom. If Mom was there she would have allowed me to go with my friends."
His words stabbed Swara's heart like daggers. Was she being rude to him? After all, She had no experience dealing with kids and life had directly made her a mom skipping the love and pregnancy part.
So, Was it tough for Aarav to accept her? Yes but was it easy for Swara to be a mom? No. She was struggling with every ounce of courage left in her and yet, she failed.
If this was Swara's chance to gain a little acceptance from this little boy, Aarav...then Yes, She would take it.
She snatched the paper from his hand and signed it. Aarav's face lit in happiness.
"Thank you! Thank You! Thank you! Swara Aunty!" He jumped and took off for his room.
This was the first time Swara genuinely felt happy. Finally...this was the first time her son had acknowledged her.
She sprinted off the bed swinging her body to literally no music, playing around....to Swara this was a big accomplishment.
Running his hands through his wet hair, a shirtless Kunal stood in the entrance of the closet admiring Swara. He was surprised seeing this side of her. He had never seen Swara this happy.
As his lips curved, the dents on his cheeks got deeper.
Dancing in happiness, Swara spun around finding herself right in front of the man she was most embarrassed to face today. Her hands perfectly landed on his bare chest, a few strands of her hair stuck to his wet body, his hands on her shoulder.
