"Great! I'll talk to them in the meeting itself." Kunal told the man over the phone.

"One more thing sir! You asked me to look into your wife's matter that day...I've got some update." Robert informed.

Kunal's eyes lost its calm, as if desperately waiting for an answer. "Go Ahead" He stated.

"She is at odds with someone named Dr. Raghav and as per my investigation she lets him dominate her and doesn't speak a word. He has a bad reputation because he is rude to everyone but ruder with Dr. Swarishka. Apart from this she met with an old couple and as I have no clue what conversation they had with Dr. Swarishka, all I can say is they seemed to be little her which made her devastated that night." Robert's words had Kunal shook, he had no clue what assumptions to make.

He felt guilty for not knowing about his wife's whereabouts. At that point he realized how much of a gap they shared. 

"Alright, Robert! Thanks. Fix a meeting with Mr. Malik soon and let me know." He hung up.

Why don't you just tell me what happened to you that night Dr. Swarishka? Why are you so closed around me; He wondered.

With this thought he stepped into the house when he accidentally overheard something he shouldn't have.

"I-is it still because of Vansh?" Mala questioned.

"Mumma Please!" Swara yelled.

"I-I'm trying Ok! I-I am trying to be like Avni!" Swara blurted it out. 

Trying to be like Avni?; Kunal's heart sank.

"Trying to be like Avni?" Mala yelled.

Kunal was shocked. Why was she trying to be like Avni? Kunal never asked her to do so.

"Are you happy in this marriage?" Mala asked her bluntly.

Mala's question had Kunal curious too. His heart was racing, as if he was watching a thriller movie.

"Why are you asking this now, Mumma?" 

Kunal raised his eyebrows in astonishment. Looks like he didn't expect her to say that.

"Just tell me, Are you happy? Do they compare you to Avni often? D-Does..." Mala's breath hitched before letting out these words.."...Does Kunal...by any chance hurt yo--"

Kunal's Jaw dropped down on the floor. He wanted to barge in and speak his mind out but he wouldn't, not because he was scared but because he understood Mala's concern. If he was to have a daughter and she came home after marriage this would have even been Kunal's first question to his daughter.

Kunal got lost in thoughts...He had didn't want to listen to any of their discussion and so he turned around to live.

"Mumma! Please! What are you saying? He's very good, very understanding and caring. He's an amazing father to Aarav and I couldn't have asked for anything more." Swara's words landed into his ears like music and unknowingly he had a smile on his face.

 He suddenly wanted to stay back and listen to more of their discussions but that would be very inappropriate.

He headed up, where Aarav and His father-in-law were playing a game.
