∼ A Few Hours Ago

"Great! Now do me a favor and fix a meeting with the Malhotras, in the following week." Kunal Ordered Robert, who instantly adhered to Kunal's order.

Buying Pills Health Centre, had doubled the work pressure on Kunal But he was still happy he could now be close to Swara.

He had back to back meetings, appointments and two major surgeries.

No matter how hard he tried he couldn't make it back on time for the Baby shower.

He knew how worried and tensed Swara was and how hard he had to convince her to go to the Ceremony.

He knew how Avyaan was, stubborn and at times really rude but that was just his police officer mentality that often hindered with his originality. Avyaan was not a person, to accept and make friends anytime or anywhere...he needed his time...he worshipped trust and he wouldn't change himself for anyone.

Internally, Avyaan is a kind and compassionate soul. If he considered someone his family or friend, he would do anything for them...even if it meant risking his own life.

While working on the laptop, Kunal noticed Ritika, packing up an leaving.

She's leaving already?; Kunal wondered.

Ritika always made a point to go home with Kunal and while going home, having a cup of coffee was their daily ritual.

"You going, Ritz?" Kunal's question...caught her off guard.

"Uhh!..y-yeah! Umm...Kajal Bhabhi, has invited me for her baby shower so..."

Right! The baby shower!; This realization was huge for him.

He immediately took his phone and dialed a number.

"H-Hello! Swara? Listen..." He began explaining her the whole situation and began convincing her to go the baby shower.

Ritika stood by and heard the conversation, only to turn around and leave for somewhere.

So, Now they are on first name basis?; Ritika felt like her heart was crumbling.

She did walk away from Kunal...but not to go home and get ready...

She had something in her head and she had to implement it to prevent herself from going through an emotional breakdown.

She took out a card from her purse and dialed a certain number.

"Hello? Mr. Hardik?...Dr. Kunal is back...you can come to the hospital for whatever enquiry you had to do." She cut the phone before hearing what he had to say.

Sorry Kunal! I don't need you to be there while I prepare to remind you of your first love; Ritika thought to herself. She had never stooped so low in her life and even now...when she was doing this only to get her so called emotional stability, it was disgusting her from within, yet she chose to ignore her own voice from within that pleaded her to stop behaving like a low life.
