Swara was sitting on her bed, while wiping the water from her hair.
Her mirror was placed opposite her bed, beside her balcony...and very innovatively, her mirror reflected the beautiful night sky, visible from outside her balcony.
Like a daily ritual she applied her sindoor, even though she was wearing shorts and a crop top.
"Di! I'll set up the laptop for the movie?" Swati questioned.
"Noo! I am very tired, let me sleep, please!" Swara pleaded but her prayers were knocking the closed doors as Swati was in no mood to let her sleep.
"Please Di! You rarely get time and now you don't even live here...god knows when you'll have to go back to Kunal Jijz! Especially when he misses you like a crazy!" Swati pouted while stating this.
"What do you mean?" Swara immediately turned around.
"I mean that he called me so many times asking how are you and all, in the end I got fed up and told him why don't you call Di...she is not at home...probably out with her friends..." Swati explained.
Swara's jaw fell on the floor.
Shit! He knew I wasn't home!; Swara mentally cursed.
"Di! Movie?" Swati questioned again.
Why am I getting nervous? It's fine, I mean I was with a friend!; Swara convinced herself.
"Diiii! there's coke in the fridge and chips in the cupboard!" Swati yelled again.
"And...who knows even he's enjoying with Karan and Aarav!...yeah it's totally cool!" Swara said that out loud.
"What's cool?" Swati was confused.
Swara gave her a broad smile and pinched her nose.
"Go get the snacks! It's party time!" Swara yelled holding the comb in her hand like a mic.
Swara applied the serum into her hair, while waiting for Swati to come in with some snacks.
Swara and Swati abided by a rule. A rule to spend time with each other, once every week. It was usually on Friday nights but that changed to whenever they had time for each other but once a week, for sure.
As Swara had been married off to Kunal, the sisters were unable to spend time together and no matter what the reason was Swati wanted to spend this time with her sister.
Swara was shaken away from her thoughts when her phone rang.
"Hello?" It was an unknown number.
"H-Hello! Dr. Sw-Swarishka?" Came a voice from the other side of the phone.
"Um...Speaking!" Unsure, she replied.
"G-good evening! This is me....Av-Avyaan!"
Swara almost fell down the bed.
"G-Good evening A-Avi Bhaiya!" Swara replied in both shock and excitement.
She had been trying to get in touch with him for so long and every time she approached him...He denied meeting her even if he was free.
And today? out of nowhere he was interested in talking to her? Swara was confused...not sure if she was suppose to be happy or not...she was just confused how she felt in that immediate moment.
