Itachi was startled as he saw sasuke struggle in his sleep, his brows were tightly furrowed, his breathing was becoming chaotic....then tears started to flow down his cheeks, his struggles became more and more violent as he (Itachi) tried to stop and wake him up, he(sasuke) started mumbling something, he started sobbing more and more no matter how Itachi tried to soothe him or wake him up...he just won't wake up, then all of a sudden sasuke opened his eyes, they were bloodshot and tears continued to fall leaving behind a wet trail, he thought that sasuke finally woke up and was about to say something, when he noticed, sasuke's eyes seemed to be dull....almost lifeless, then sasuke suddenly took out a kunai, Itachi's eyes turned sharper locking away all the tenderness that he had allowed to seep in his gaze earlier, he became alert, he waited for sasuke to make a move, he (sasuke) did move...but what he did made Itachi's eyes widen in shock as he saw sasuke using that kunai to hurt himself, he was indiscriminately slashing himself with the kunai repeatedly saying "it's all your fault! I hate you!die!die!DIE!!!!!", Itachi had no idea who he was talking to or what he was talking about, he had no time for that, he quickly moved and grabbed sasuke's wrist when he saw sasuke was about to slit his own throat using that kunai. His heartbeat almost stopped and a panic rose in his chest, his body moved on it's own, he forcefully snatched the kunai from sasuke throwing it away and then he(Itachi) slapped him(sasuke). This slap left a dark red imprint on Sasuke's cheek but also seemed to wake him up from whatever frenzy he was in, his dull eyes finally seemed to register his (itachi) presence....

sasuke felt a sharp sting on his face. He turned his head to look at who was the one who slapped him, he registered another presence, it was Itachi, he paused, his body froze for a moment before realising where he was....he then pounced at Itachi hugging him tightly as he sobbed and begged " aniki please....please don't leave me... I will be obedient, I'll listen to you, I....I won't do anything you don't want me to....I'll listen to you...just don't leave me...nii san you know I love you....I need you....you are all I have left...don't leave.....please please" he kept begging, desperately hugging Itachi as if his life depended on it, for him it kinda did " I am not angry with you, I don't hate you..... I don't... don't be angry with me...I returned to konoha too..." he continued on....the more Itachi listened to his incoherent words and sentences the more he felt the pain in his heart increase, seeing his little brother like this he wanted nothing more than to embrace him, reassure him.... Itachi slowly pushed sasuke back, at first sasuke resisted but then he slowly let him(Itachi) push himself (sasuke) back, Itachi noticed how he clenched his hand in fist by his side to stop himself from embracing him(Itachi) again "I'll be obedient...so don't be angry with me...please" he weakly begged again, seeing him like this, tears dripping down his face, his pink lips opening and closing as he pleaded to him.... he couldn't bear to see him like this, how he almost killed himself(sasuke) in front of him(Itachi) it made him feel a severe ache in heart, just the thought of sasuke trying to kill himself made a very unbearable pain run through his whole body, he felt as if his whole world was going to break.... Itachi couldn't bring himself to continue on his heartless, hateful brother act....at this moment all he wanted to do was to comfort him, embrace him, tell him that he(Itachi) loves him(sasuke)....he wanted to comfort him...to assure him....how?...sasuke was not listening to him(Itachi)....he needed to calm down...
whether it was his pleadings...or whether it was his tears or his lips....maybe...it was how he repeated  the word 'love' over and over again....he just wanted to calm him down, soothe his little brother.....assure him of his love and affection....whatever it was that came over him, before he knew it or before his mind could process it, he was already leaning down, his lips were on his little brother's lips, gently sucking and nipping at them, he had not closed his eyes so he could clearly see how sasuke's eyes widened at first, his body froze for a second, for just a second before, realisation settled upon him(sasuke) and he responded to the soft and gentle kiss, that conveyed his(Itachi) affection and care, it was gentle and soothing.

sasuke responded to the kiss, desperately at first but then relaxed as he slowly started to calm down and relax his tensed body in the soothing kiss, he closed his eyes as he tried to memorize this feeling, imprint this into his mind, it was a very weird, sweet and fuzzy sensation, he could feel a tingling sensation on his lips even after the kiss, although he tried his best to kiss for as long as possible, for a moment he felt like oxygen was not necessary but Itachi slowly backed away and he also felt dizzy due to lack of oxygen supply. He couldn't help but trace his lips with his pointer finger....he liked this....in his mind there was only one thought at the moment 'I like this, I want more...'

Itachi felt time had never passed so slow....as he observed the changes in his brother's expressions as he slowly calmed down due to the kiss and then actually responded to the kiss....he was so shocked when his body moved on it's own and he kissed sasuke....he was surprised by his own actions and wanted to break the kiss, but when he saw the changes in his brother, how his face changed from initial surprise to realisation to responding with desperation to relaxing and finally savouring, he saw it all, he felt his heart beat rising and he could hear his own heart beating so violently in his ears. When he finally ended the kiss, he felt sasuke's reluctance to let it end, he saw how after he backed up, sasuke slowly traced his  lips with his pointer finger as he blushed, his dull eyes seemed dazed as if still savouring the taste and feeling of his(Itachi) lips on his(sasuke)  own, seeing him like this now Itachi felt heat rising to his own cheeks as his ears turned red as if they'd bleed blood any second now...
