*uchiha compound*

The sunlight filtered through the curtains and fell into the room, the little birds chirped outside the window breaking the silence of the room, the sunrays scattered through the curtains became the only source of light in the thick darkness of the room, the black haired uchiha with a thin layer of gauge covering his eyes moved slightly seemingly disturbed by the lively chirping of the birds. He sat up on his bed, his long black hair following his movements, covering his back and almost reaching his waist. He got up from his bed and walked to the window without bumping into anything as if he could perfectly see through the gauge around his eyes, he pulled apart the curtains letting the sunlight in and opened the window, letting the cool wind of the early morning brush his face, the sunlight Falling on his pale body made it look as if he was bathing in golden light. Standing and feeling the wind on his face the uchiha silently turned around to wash up and start his day, today marked his one month being in this house, exactly a month ago he was discharged from the konoha hospital, he thought he would be staying with the blonde or in sasuke's old apartment provided by the 3rd hokage but instead he was sent here in the uchiha compound and a warm welcome/ house warming party  was thrown by the blonde ninja and all his friends for him welcoming him in this place that he had ruined by his own hands few years ago, although the blonde ninja always managed to keep him company so as not to make him feel lonely in this almost desolate place, but the time he spent here alone was still more, the silence of this once bustling place, the silence of this once lively house....all of those memories that were still fresh in his mind, the guilt and despair.... he really couldn't get rid of it, he thought that he had moved on already but all this silence reminded him of all that he had done, 'I'd still go through with my mission, even if all of it were to repeat' he thought as he wrapped a towel around his waist, in the past whole month he had already formed a routine, wake up, freshen up, eat, rehabilitate and then sleep, it was still difficult for him and his worries about sasuke's whereabouts were eating away on whatever was left of his sanity. At this point in the time he was 'recovering and healing' he was not allowed to know sasuke's whereabouts and what he was upto, it was requested by sasuke himself 'since aniki wants to keep things from me then I'll also hide from aniki' were the exact words he had left behind on the day he(Itachi) had discharged he(sasuke) didn't even come to the welcoming/housewarming party he (sasuke) himself had arranged. Itachi had thought 'as expected sasuke is angry...then I'll just apologize to him and...coax him' with a slight smile but now it has been a month and he still hadn't returned to him, his smile had faded at some point in time and his restless mind hadn't stopped imagining the worst, after all what he had seen in the ward and even before that sasuke was still clinging to him not letting him go and showed self harming tendencies whenever he tried to get away or someone else tried to take him away. Itachi didn't even realise the effect sasuke's absence had on him.

A ninja gently landed on a branch soundlessly a huge hood covering his face only revealing a pair of thin and pale pink lips and a fair and sharp chin, a few strands of silky black hair peaked from under the hood moving along with movements of the ninja as he tailed the two akatsuki members, he knew nothing of the two in front of him apparently they were the replacement for his aniki and the one who plays with explosive clay, sasuke remembered that he had fatally wounded that one....was he dead or still recovering? 'Whatever' he thought as he kept on following but he realised something was wrong, next moment he jumped off the branch he was on. The placed he had just been standing on was now covered with a pinkish crystal 'kekeigenkai?' he thought as he returned his gaze in front of him to look at the two new akatsuki members, a woman and a man pair, his eyes shone as he looked at the woman who was sizing him up "who are you?" she asked in a serious voice, sasuke ignored her questions and focused on the man, the man was wearing an orange mask, sasuke gritted his teeth as he mobilized his chakra and released a fire style jutsu the man with the mask jumped and dodged as he spoke in a silly and dumb way "aahhhh!!! Tobi can't fight!!!" Although he seemed to be randomly jumping and fooling around but he very agilely and skillfully dodged his attack. " Tobi? Or shall I call you obito? or was it madara?" Sasuke said in a flat tone as he activated his sharingan, observed a very subtle pause in 'Tobi's' movement but it was very small and he naturally moved around keeping up his foolish act, he was about to continue talking but his body flickered and he appeared a few steps away from his original position "it's impolite to ignore people" the woman said as she looked at sasuke, sasuke just looked at her before saying "shut up" then he was about to focus on obito again only to be interrupted again by the woman, seeing that obito was about to slip away sasuke felt irritated as he said "annoying" and made a shadow clone, they nodded at each other and engaged in their own tasks.
*30 minutes later*
Sasuke returned back to the place where he had started and saw that his clone had already defeated the woman, the woman was lying on the ground her hand and feet were tied and a seal was visible on her forehead " her kekeigenkai enables her to control using her blood as medium, she can crystallize her blood or make it very acidic, seal has been placed she is anemic and still trapped in genjutsu, other than that a fractured arm.... information extraction done, they along with another  team were assigned to extract the five tails from it's jinchuriki, mission is still in progress the jinchuriki was lured by the other team, situation is not known on their side." Sasuke nodded and said "obito escaped ...." With that he released the shadow clone and looked at the woman was passed out and said "intercept the other team...."
