# present time, Itachi's  ward #
Itachi had just laid down on the bed and closed his exhausted eyes when someone entered his ward, at first he wanted to open his eyes but then thought against it, at this time normally no one would come visit him as this was not the visiting time, the nurses had also made their usual round just moments ago and next round was a few hours away, anbu keeping an eye on him would not make their presence obvious and nor would  the come to him unless they have orders to carry out, those possibilities have already been crossed out, he couldn't feel any hostility  or malice from the one who entered the room and was getting closer to him, just as he wanted to open his eyes, the person sat down beside his bed, he could  feel the person stareing at him and jat when he thought  the person would not speak at all he heard sasuke's  hoarse voice "these eyes they were the cause of it all were they not....you wanted to have these eyes when they become the same as yours....aniki.... I will give you something better than them....that man said these eyes are the strongest....they can achieve what you always wished for....he said these eyes will give me what I wished for....aniki....what I wish for?...." Although his voice was hoarse it was very soft and gentle as if he was worried that he(Itachi) would  wake up. As he listened Itachi had a very bad premonition and then he felt something wet like a drop on his cheek, he immediately opened his eyes and what he saw almost made him crazy, sasuke's pale finger were exerting force on his eye as if wanted to gauge them out and the small drops of blood trickled down from his eyes over his cheek and then dripped down his chin. Itachi froze as a fear consumed his body freezing it in it's place, then he heard him continue in the same soft voice "I only want my aniki...and if these eyes can make that happen then I'll just give him the best I can offer....in our clan there's nothing stronger than the rinnegan....and I happen to own one....aniki would this make your wish come true.... I know you wished to rip them out by yourself but--" Itachi couldn't bear it anymore finally forced his body move and quickly grabbed his wrist exerting some force to dislocate his wrist....

Sasuke kept his left eye on his aniki as he(itachi) held his wrist, it was as if he couldn't feel the pain from his wrist as he slowly muttered. "Why?"...why did his aniki stop him....does he not want it anymore? Did he want to leave him and so stopped him from taking his rinnegan out? Otherwise why would he stop him....he did not want his eyes anymore?..." Do you still not want these eyes?" As he said he widened his eyes and forcefully opened his right eye that he was trying to gauge out just now and activated them both " look....they are both very good.... I  even gained a rinnegan! Don't you want them?!!! I am not weak anymore  and have strongest form of our kekkei genkai!!" he didn't realise it but he had raised his voice and was very loud....

The moment  sasuke had entered itachi's ward one of the anbu keeping an eye on Itachi had already alerted tsunade who had been talking to naruto, jiraya and Kakashi about some missions so all of the rushed to his(itachi's) ward as they were already in the hospital. " Do you still not want these eyes? look....they are both very good.... I  even gained a rinnegan! Don't you want them?!!! I am not weak anymore  and have strongest form of our kekkei genkai!!" This was what they heard as soon as they reached itachi's  ward, the 4 of them paused as their expressions turned serious, they had no idea what all this talk about but they knew this was something very serious so they tensed themselves up ready to interfere as soon as something goes wrong...

INSIDE THE WARD-
Itachi stared at sasuke silently as he was at a loss for what he should say....after all he did say that to sasuke....but was it not to make him grow stronger than himself and then die at his(sasuke's) hands....
On the other had the more silence he got in response the more sasuke felt that Itachi really wanted to leave him again, not even his eyes could stop him anymore....his eyes dulles as he lowered his head slightly looking at his wrist that was still held by his aniki. His hair fell over his eyes casting a shadow and hiding his dull eyes as he said "so....you want to leave again....aniki?" As he said so he used his other hand that was intact and grabbed itachi's wrist of the same hand that was holding his, "did you forget....what was the deal me made in that broken temple....aniki?". He asked loud and clear as he suddenly looked up looking Itachi directly in eye, his activated eyes held a threat so did his voice as he said "Itachi uchiha....if you dared to go back on your deal I would dare to destroy your beloved konoha....do you not want to protect this village.... anymore...hah-" sasuke suddenly broke into a laughter as he said "ahahahaha...."his laughter came to an abrupt halt as he continued in a voice to expressed pity "even the village cannot keep you tied by my side.... it's a pity.... that was all it was worth and now it has lost it's worth...."  but his face and eyes help not a single shred of the pity that his voice had all there was in his eyes was a coldness.....
