Itachi just stared blankly at the old temple's ceiling as sasuke slept and recovered his chakra that he had over exerted, it has been 3 days after sasuke had passed out so suddenly, at first Itachi almost panicked when he collapsed so suddenly without any warning but when he sensed rythemic ups and downs of sasuke's chest and his even breathing, he realised that sasuke was fine, he had just fallen asleep. Itachi wanted answers....he wanted them now....but.... looking at his brother's peacefully sleeping face he sighed "sleep for now..." he mumbled as he stroked sasuke's soft raven locks, easing his(sasuke) gradually furrowing brows, his (Itachi) touch seemed to relax sasuke. Itachi continued his musings and analysis of everything that had happened in the past few days. Sasuke passed out after comforting him three days ago, since then Itachi was able to control the 'Toxin' inside his body that sasuke was somehow able to inject him but he still couldn't leave as
he wanted to know what went wrong? Just what was it that had affected his plans this much.... whatever it was, he wanted to know so he could eliminate such variable and to do that he needed answers that he could only get either from orochimaru or....his glance shifted back to to the sleeping uchiha....after thinking about it he chose the easy option first and decided to find orochimaru to get the answers he needed but just as he moved a little the sleeping person besides him also stirred, not only that but the person gripped his black robe and tightened his hold as soon as he felt him (Itachi) move, for a second Itachi felt as if sasuke was awake and was just pretending to sleep. He decided to check if he was really pretending to sleep and found that sasuke was really sleeping, he sighed helplessly at this, his eyes softened just a bit as he found it rather endearing how sensitive sasuke was to his presence " Forgive me, my sweet little ototou...." he mumbled as he lightly nudged sasuke's forehead, just like he used to do, the soft look in his eyes disappeared as he remembered that time and as he realised how he would never be able to get all that back again....how in near future he would die at his brother's hands.... although he would be leaving his brother all alone but there was also a tiniest bit of happiness that he would be able to see his brother and would be able to spend his last moments with his brother, although not in a way he'd like but still he'd be with his ototou in the last moments of his life, there was a small sense of relief in his eyes as he thought about this and mumbled softly " I am being very selfish....but.... I hope that one day you would be able to forgive your aniki for everything I have done .....and you would understand why I did what I did....you would safeguard konoha--" " I will NOT !!!!" he heard sasuke's voice practically growling those words, his voice was hoarse. He froze as he realised that at some point sasuke had woken up and heard everything he(Itachi) had been mumbling "you-" he was about to say something but was cut off by sasuke who used some force catching Itachi off guard and pulling him closer to himself" so it was true....what he said was the truth..." He mumbled but Itachi heard it clearly due to their close proximity " truth?...who are you talking about?" He asked but instead of answering him sasuke whose head was tilted downward as he kept his glance at itachi's lap and his raven locks blocked itachi's view so he couldn't tell what expressions sasuke had at the moment,  continued on "I WILL destroy that whole village with my own hands if you fucking dared to leave me! you hear me! I am sick and tired of you doing everything you think is right and deciding what is good for me and what is not! Have you ever tried to think how much pain and suffering your so called ' for my own good' would bring to me! Ever tried to think in what way it'd effect me!!!" He said, he sounded somewhat cold and hysterical, not giving Itachi a chance to process and react he continued " .... aniki....aniki I asked you  not to shoulder everything alone....why won't you listen..." ' I already gave you a chance to make your choice....but why won't you choose me is that village really that important to you....', thinking like this he lifted lifted his head looking at Itachi directly in eyes as his eyes changed " I will not forgive you! I refuse to forgive you! I refuse to understand your reasons! I refuse to forgive that village! And I refuse to accept what YOU have planned for me!!! .... aniki I'll beg you again...please....please go back with me again.... let's go back to your precious konoha...." although his sharingan was activated, his eyes still showed desperation and pleading, his ever tightening grip on his (Itachi) robes made it obvious how much he (sasuke) was unwilling to let go of him, seeing his dear little brother like this Itachi felt his own heart ache, he just couldn't bring himself to be heartless at this moment despite his rationality telling him to push his brother away...yes it was painful and yes it hurt him...but this was for sasuke.... but he couldn't bring himself to be ruthless to his ototou.... Itachi felt a heavy lump blocking his throat preventing him from saying those heartless and cruel cold words....he couldn't bring himself to continue on his act....as he was torn between his emotional and rational thoughts he heard sasuke say " please aniki....choose me.... for once.... choose me over that damned village as your priority...." he pleaded in a soft voice before he paused for a second and continued " because....if you choose that village over me this time....the you would be responsible for the future consequences...." as he said this his eyes turned ice cold, a heavy oppressive aura shrouded him as a cold smile graced his thin pale lips.
