*konoha hospital*
Itachi slept peacefully on his hospital bed with a thick layer of gauge over his eyes that had just been operated on by lady Tsunade personally, it was a very long and painful procedure and he had stayed concious throughout the whole procedure to slowly regulate his chakra through his body, the healed chakra channels in his body were exposed to the chakra for the first time in a while and it felt painfully itchy as if many small ants were crawling inside his bone gnawing at them, it was a very numbing experience but Itachi who was used to pain never made a single noise, even Sakura who was observing the procedure found it hard to endure. Itachi looked paler than the white bedsheets of the bed he was sleeping in, he was covered in cold sweat from all that pain that he had endured and there was dried blood and teeth marks on his lips that he bit on to stop himself from making a single noise.
Tsunade checked his vitals and chakra channels again before sighing with relief as all his conditions were normal and the operation was a success, now app they needed to do was slowly reduce the thickness of the gauge wrapped around Itachi's eyes slowly over time to get him to adjust to his eyes although the eye surgery was a very minor procedure but Itachi was a special case it was not just his eyes they had to temper with his chakra channels in the eyes that were causing all the trouble so right now he was very sensitive to the light and had to get used to it gradually....
As Tsunade turned around to leave the ward after making sure that Itachi was alright and the operation was a success, she felt another presence in the ward, she immediately went on alert ready to take action, "is it a success?" She heard a question and a very familiar voice of  certain uchiha who had been giving her frequent headaches and frustration, she was surprised 'why is he here? Where's Naruto?' She thought as she turned around to face the uchiha relaxing her grip on the pen he was going to use as a weapon her face not revealing her surprise, she had expected that the raven would find about it but they hadn't expected him to be so calm after knowing about it, they had expected him to react violently and had prepared for that too but his behaviour was unexpected, sasuke ran out of patience when he didn't get a reply from the hokage and repeated his question again in a colder voice "I asked if the operation was a success?" Tsunade gave him a once over making sure he was not in an unstable state before nodding and saying "it was a success, now all we have to do is the rehabilitation and then there should be no problem, and follow up is required indefinitely for now, as we don't know if this would really not cause any problems" after that lady Tsunade told sasuke about the precautions and that Itachi would still need to stay in the hospital for atleast a month to undergo initial rehabilitation, after hearing all this sasuke nodded to indicate that he got it and then proceeded to head to Itachi's bed side and carefully looked over him, his brows furrowing as he looked at the bite marks on Itachi's lips and his pale complexion, not wanting to disturb his aniki's rest sasuke didn't dare to get too close and did his best to supress the worry in his heart, he knew that this procedure was no big deal and his aniki was so strong and won't be affected too much but he still couldn't help getting worried or anxious, he took one last look at Itachi before turning into smoke.

Sasuke's expressions changed slightly as he shared his shadow clone's experience and knew about the successful surgery, he felt that anxiety that had been eating away at him disappear completely, looked at the surprised expression of Naruto and tensed bodies of the other three and said "what are you so surprised about, did you really think you would be able to keep this from me? anyways he's fine just have to stay in the hospital a while longer" he then looked back at the house and said "I still have a little time to me to make sure this house is all warm and welcoming "  after saying this he walked back inside the house his face showing a soft expression and a small hint of a smile, Naruto looked at his smile and followed him into the house seeing him enter the room that they had stood outside of earlier, he saw sasuke hanging up the scroll painting from just now, he finally saw the painting clearly and surprised to see that it was a painting of a man with serious and stern expression and a woman with a very gentle, warm expressions and a cheerful smile on her face leaning  slightly on the the man, he looked at the painting and then at sasuke who was setting up an altar below the painting, he noticed how sasuke somewhat resembled both of them and then it struck him, it was a painting of his parents, he opened and closed his mouth a few times wanting to say something but was clueless on what to say, sasuke who had busied himself with the altar turned saw him looking like a silly fish opening and closing his lips again and again but not saying a word, then as if he just realised what he wanted to say, he smiled and said "I drew it by myself...what do you think? " his voice carried a smile and confidence as he tilted his head slightly and continued after a small pause "do you think aniki would like it...."
After hearing his question and seeing that sasuke was looking at him waiting for his opinion, Naruto suddenly didn't know what to say he just thought 'a broken doll that needs repairing urgently.....but how am I supposed to repair it?'
