Naruto took a deep breath and then threw himself at Sasuke catching him off guard with a tight hug "it's so fucking beautiful that I don't how to express myself" he forced through his gritted teeth,he didn't realise that sasuke stiffened under his hands 'i really must have owed you something in my last life....once I succeed in mending you I'll beat you up real good cause u deserve this beating dattebayo' he thought to himself ' let's take it step by step, and step one should be.....to make him less obsessed? With Itachi san....now how do I do that'he thought as he was pushed away by sasuke who had finally come back to his senses and was giving the blonde ninja a serious look, after looking at him for a second he said in a cool voice "even if you are impressed there's still no need to throw yourself at people, do you have any idea what your actions would have resulted in if I hadn't controlled my impulses", Naruto finally noticed the serious look on the raven haired ninja's face he was stunned and said after a small pause "oh.... Sorry my bad dattebayo" and laughed sheepishly before turning around and thinking 'maybe it's not so difficult.... I just have to be distracting enough...'as he walked out of the room not waiting for sasuke who sighed and glanced at the painting one last time before following the blonde ninja out.
After spending the whole day at the uchiha compound the group returned back to the hospital. Naruto bid his farewell and then left to go to report to the hokage as he had recieved a summon from lady Tsunade as soon as he had reached the vicinity of the konoha hospital, sasuke didn't say much just nodded at him as a goodbye and by the way made an appointment to meet at Ichiraku's ramen shop the next day as the blonde had pestered him the whole day saying and complaining that he (sasuke) never comes out and just stays at the hospital all the time and how Sakura chan is always worrying about him and all to which sasuke just rolled his eyes and finally agreed to meet him.

As soon as he entered the familiar ward sasuke saw his aniki sleeping peacefully on his hospital bed, he slowly and cautiously approached the bed not wanting to disturb his (Itachi) sleep, he silently say down on the stool beside the bed and watched over his aniki as he slept, he noticed how pale and thin Itachi looked, he looked so so fragile at the moment that sasuke couldn't help the negative thoughts bubbling inside his head, he slowly grabbed the pale hand of his aniki and placed a gentle and light kiss on his knuckle as he mumbled "just bear with me for a little while more.... I won't let all those horrible things happen to you again" his eyes grew increasingly darker as he looked at Itachi and his expression turned determined and he thought 'I don't care about this Village but you do, I don't care about the five Nations but you do.... What other choice do I have left but protect them if I wish to keep you bound to me and give you the peaceful life that you always wished to have....'

The sky outside brightened and some of the warm and bright sunshine shone through the window illuminating the whole room with a warm glow, but the older uchiha who had been awake for quite awhile could only see darkness, he had no idea what time it was, how long he had been sleeping? Wether his younger brother had come to check on him yet or not? Was he angry? Did he react violently to the news of him undergoing an operation with extremely low rate of success? Had he eaten anything? Was the operation a success? He had so many questions but most of them were his worries for his younger brother, soon Itachi heard some steps approaching his ward....

Unaware of his aniki's worries, sasuke was sitting in the hokage's office, facing lady hokage with his three companions standing behind him looking around for a moment sasuke said seriously to the lady hokage and the other legendary sanin Jiraya who was also present along with Kakashi "so you wish to know Intel about Akatsuki and what they want? Do you really think your anbu and spies are reliable enough?" His eyes landed on Jiraya as he asked "Do you even know the leader leading those S-rank ninjas who are working for him, just what is keeping them from turing their back on him and following his every command like some kind of loyal dog or who the real master mind behind the scene is?" His questions made the temperature of the room become frigid the moment he opened his mouth, his gaze made Jiraya Keenly aware that the kid perhaps knew something, he had no basis for thinking so just a mere gut feeling but he decided to trust this feeling, even if the kid had any trick it won't be a big deal to hear what Intel the kid had to share afterall wether the Intel is accurate or not it's not bad to have the extra knowledge which can give him some clues perhaps so he exchanged a glance and flashed a silly smile gesturing him to continue, sasuke knew that these people won't necessarily believe him or listen to him but he still had to share some Intel if he wanted to protect this Village for his aniki, although he was not really sure about this but he had heard from Tobi about his grand plan and madara's involvement , he had not said it but sasuke had picked up some clues, he had his own suspicion and now was an opportunity to confirm it, especially after he had seen the uchiha tablet hidden back in the uchiha compound ".... I'll gather all the Intel you'd need....but there's are conditions, one you don't get to interfere with my actions, any interference is intolerable and two I'd do anything that is necessary to get this done" sasuke kept his expression straight and stoic as he watched their reactions and continued " here's a little something to help you with your decision, the Akatsuki's next target is the five tail they have already captured one tail, two tails and four tails by now three tails is already surrounded and next on list is five tails, I am looking forward to our cooperation." As he said the last bit he didn't even look at their expression or reaction not really caring if they believed him or not and left the office with the other three
