Itachi had just closed his eyes, he was so tired that he just wanted to sleep....this was getting more and more exhausting as the days passed by....it had been a week since that day a week ago....
He was going through one of his daily routine check up when Naruto just barged into the ward, the usually carefree and cheerful blonde ninja looked so anxious that even Itachi got curious about what was going on was it something so serious.... following him other medical staff also rushed in but as soon as they saw tsunade they just stopped where they were "Lady tsunade we tried to stop the kid but he won't listen...." One of the staff explained with lowered head, tsunade just nodded showing that she understood and let them leave Naruto who had been acting like an ant on a hot pan grabbed tsunade's hand looked at her with his blue eyes full of anxiety and worry as he said "tsunade baa-chan.... he's really badly hurt this time...he just won't stop bleeding....sakura-chan can't  stop his bleeding at all...." seeing him like this and hearing his somewhat incoherent sentence tsunade guessed that this is something related to sasuke, her expressions turned serious and she glanced at Itachi who was looking at the blonde...maybe for this whole time? Although his face was still expressionless but she knew that he knew who they were talking about, his clenched fists showed that he knew that this was related to his brother....
Tsunade had guessed it correctly Itachi knew that when Naruto had escorted him back to his hospital ward few hours ago, he was assigned a mission to keep an eye on his ototoū, he was able gouge out that much information from the blonde....so who was this blonde talking about?....did sasuke harm someone? Was sasuke the one who got hurt? Itachi's heart tightened as his thoughts whirled, turned his onyx eyes to meet lady tsunade's eyes that were glancing at him "I'll go too" he said in a very steady and calm voice totally opposite of how worried he was in his head, tsunade looked at him silently for a moment and then agreed to let him come with them. Naruto led the two towards the ward where sasuke and others were....
Itachi almost  couldn't maintain his calm expression anymore when he saw sasuke on the hospital bed, he was so pale and even the hospital bedsheets were dyed red, it looked so horrible and sasuke looked like he was about to die.... Itachi closed his eyes and took some deep breaths to calm himself down and walked closer, as he walked he started to calm down and finally paid attention to sakura who seemed to about to breakdown or something as she said "he....he just wouldn't let me heal him... he's refusing to accept me.... I can't even get close to him...." poor girl looked like she'd cry, then he looked at his brother who looked so pale and weak lying there on the hospital bed in the blood soaked sheets, he suddenly remembered
when sasuke had just returned from his assigned mission just last night, he refused to let Naruto and Sakura help him, he silently walked to sasuke making sakura and tsunade and others to look at him, Naruto even wanted to stop him as he worried how Itachi would feel after seeing sasuke in such a state, he felt guilty for he somewhat felt responsible for sasuke's present state, before he could stop Itachi he was glance at by those obsidian eyes and he froze in his place he had never seen such cold eyes, he keenly perceived the threat in those obsidian eyes....
Itachi glanced at the blonde ninja warning him not to take another step, he had had enough of these people stopping him from getting close to his own brother, he got closer and saw the the place and frowning eyebrows of his younger brother, he couldn't help but stretch out his hand and gently stroke his(sasuke) dark hair, sasuke seemed to resist  instinctively, the markings on his forehead started moving and he unconsciously used lightning style chakra, although they were very weak but they still sting and were very painful but Itachi didn't even flinch and his expressions only became more distressed, he softened his voice as he gently leaned and said "be good little sasuke aniki will make the pain go....", Sasuke seemed to recognise his voice and his body visibly relaxed and the curse mark started to recede restraining the weak lightning chakra along with it Itachi saw this and looked at sakura who immediately rushed up and started using medical ninjutsu to heal sasuke while itachi soothed and comforted him,the process was very slow and it took several hours to heal sasuke's injuries, they were not completely healed but he was out of danger, the deepest wound that was on his stomach was still not completely healed but the bleeding had stopped, sakura finished dressing the wound and then wiped the sweat on her forehead as she sighed in relief, there were still tear marks on her cheeks and her eyes were still red but her mental state was much better than before, tsunade who was keeping an eye on this whole healing process stepped forward and checked sasuke then she looked at sakura and commented " you did well. " Then she turned her gaze back to sasuke and said "but it'll still take him awhile to wake up and for his wounds to heal completely, and....his mental state is very fragile right now he's showing signs of moderate to severe depression, so you'll have to be extra careful with him...." As she said the last part her eyes flitted over Itachi whose hand stroking sasuke's hair paused before resuming his actions
