Feeling his aniki's hand caressing his cheeks so gently, sasuke stiffened at first but then relaxed, the cold pale finger brushed over his cheeks provoking a pink blush, the calm obsidian orbs that seemed to observe his face made sasuke somewhat embarrassed and he had a very faint urge to hide....but he resisted the urge and simply closed his eyes letting his aniki do whatever he wanted not caring about the two konoha ninja who were watching from a distance....

Naruto and sai searched for a while and were about to go farther away from their original location, when they witnessed a huge commotion, Naruto's eyes widened as he looked ahead in the direction the they were heading to, he shot sai a glance and both of them became more cautious as they increased their speed, sai released some of his mice who returned to him delivering him with the information about the situation ahead.
Both of them soon reached the vicinity of the temple but they stopped in their tracks and hid themselves in the thick trees as they saw the interaction between the two uchihas. It'd be a lie if Naruto said that he was not shocked by what he saw, he had to rub his eyes a few times to be sure that what he saw was not him imagining stuff. "I... Itachi...." he mumbled softly to himself what he did not expect was that he would hear a 'Yes' from behind him, Naruto almost jumped out of his skin when he turned his head slightly and saw Itachi standing there, leaning against a tree watching the two of them who were watching the two of them(Uchiha brothers)? Even sai felt surprised that he could not feel the presence of this uchiha at all. Both of them tensed as they realised this fact and went on alert but Naruto hesitated....but then let go of his kunai and looked at Itachi before saying "go back to konoha with us", his voice had a seriousness that Sai had rarely heard amd he looked like he was determined to take Itachi back to konoha. Listening to what Naruto said Itachi visibly froze before he let out a faint chuckle, causing Naruto to go blank at his reaction, then as he looked at the blonde ninja's blank look he sighed and said "Then let's go back to konoha", there seemed to be a slight helplessness in his tone as he said that "be careful " he said as his body turned into a flock of crows. Naruto quickly turned to the direction of the temple, turns out it was just a clone....

When sasuke opened his eyes again dazedly realised that he had accidentally fallen asleep again, when his head cleared a little more he felt something was wrong, he couldn't feel his body, he gritted his teeth as he realised this was due to him recklessly using up all his chakra and strain of his rinnegan along with the cursed seal and ofcourse the venom in his body he could still feel the bone crushing pain in his body and could only grit his teeth, after a few minutes his face grew expressionless and he realised something else....right now...right at this moment....he was being carried.... on someone's back. Sasuke stilled as his mind went blank....a memory flashed through his mind....when he was little and pestered Itachi to teach him....at that time he had ended up spraining his ankle and then....his aniki gave him piggy back ride on their way back home....just like....now...sasuke dazedly nuzzled his aniki's neck and mumbled softly "Aniki....", his hands tightening their grip ever so slightly. Itachi stopped walking, his eyes widened slightly as he felt the warm breath sprayed on the back of his neck, he noticed the slightly tightened grip of his brother....after pausing for a second he resumed walking and replied "Hmm" as he glanced at the two ninja's who also stopped when he stoped walking, he shook his head lightly at their behaviour, it seemed that they were being overly cautious and afraid that he would not go back to the village with them.... just what was going on with these kids.... he could only fo back to the village and find out just what was going on....what was it that had made his brother like this....there has to be something that has caused sasuke behave this....What was it that sasuke knew? just how much sasuke knew.... and that rinnegan....when and how did he gained that rinnegan? Was it because of this rinnegan that sasuke changed this much? He just have to find out.... for now he'd just go back to the village and then start his investigation....there ought to be a reason....a cause that triggered this effect and he was going to find ot about this cause....
