38.Nightmare

Y/n was peacefully sleeping with Tommy.But her sleep was interrupted when she could hear rustling of the sheets and heavy breaths.

She opened her eyes to see Tommy.His face was covered in sweat.His breathing was heavy and unsteady.

He was having a nightmare.

Y/n was about to wake him up but he woke up with a sudden jolt.He sat up trying to steady his breathing.His chest moved up and down as oxygen reached through his lungs.

"Tommy"y/n whispered concerned for him.It was like he came back in his senses when her heard her,feeling relaxed that she was still beside him.

"It's ok y/n go to sleep"tommy said without looking back as he sat up properly.

He was sitting there thinking for a few seconds when he felt her hand on his shoulder.

She stood up and came in front of him and sat on his lap.He looked up at her and moved his arms to give her space.

She quickly sat before he could pull away but little did she know he never wanted too pull away.

"Did you dream about the war again?"y/n softly said and stroked his cheek

He looked up at her.His blue eyes meeting hers.There was miserable look in them.

"No"he whispered.Y/n gave him a confused look

"Then what?"she asked in the softest way possible hoping that he would tell her

"It-"he sighed deeply and closed his eyes not wanting to explain it

Y/n cupped his face pulling him closer

"What was it Tom?"she asked politely

Oh god he almost gave up when she said Tom.Why would she do that?She knew she was his weak point

"I dreamt about you.You dying in my arms.You leaving me"tommy finally said and opened his eyes.

Y/n's face softened.

"Oh Tommy"she said putting her hand on his chest close to his heart

"I'm never going to leave you.You feel this?"she asked referring to his heart beat

"That's my heart beating inside you"she smiled and pulled his hand to keep it on her own chest

"You feel this?"she asked again and he nodded

"That's your heart beating inside me"she explained softly as vibrations of her heartbeats reached up to his fingertips.

He immediately hugged her tight.His face on her chest where he could hear her heartbeat.She softly grazed his brown locks and placed a small kiss on his head

"Help me y/n"tommy whispered and looked up to her face

"With what?"she asked

"With everything.Life,business,family everything"tommy said

"Fool"y/n scoffed playfully and smiled

"I'm married to you of course I'll help you with everything Tom"she said showing him her ring

"God brought us together for a reason.To stay together,To go through everything TOGETHER"

"And I promise I'll never ever leave you"she said and softly kissed his forehead.He pulled in to kiss her immediately.

It's like it was the only way out from reality.He softly grazed her lips and closed his eyes at the sensation.

She was truly like heaven on earth.And he was blessed he got her.He was so blessed

"I love you y/n"
