A/N: Wow, it's uh been a while. Hi. I've been really busy the last few months with school and work. I'm going to try and write some more over the next month while I'm only taking one summer class, because the fall will be busy again once the regular semester starts up again. Thank you all for continuing to stick around and read my work. I truly, deeply appreciate your support.

Your friendship with Tuvok would develop slowly as the two of you worked together more and more once being thrown into the Delta Quadrant. Whatever your department, you and Tuvok would work together on various missions and projects, needing to use each other's expertise and knowledge to finish the task at hand.

Right off the bat, he would deeply admire your work ethic and being able to be fairly level-headed and logical under the circumstances. He would admit as much after a long shift one day, telling you how refreshing he found it to be near you, as some other non-Vulcans could be, as he would put it, "Rash and illogical when under great stress."

At times, you'd be jealous of Tuvok's nature and how he was always able to keep his cool under in any situation. Though you'd do your best to not let your emotions cloud your judgement when on duty and on missions, sometimes they'd get the better of you—say if you or someone else was in danger. When you mentioned to him how you wished you could be more like him, he'd calmly tell you how if you were more like him, you'd be less like you, and it was you that Tuvok enjoyed spending time with.

However, if you wanted to try and practice meditation and Vulcan disciplinary techniques, Tuvok would be more than happy to assist. He'd tell you the history of the techniques as well as the science behind them. He would be very encouraging about your efforts and progress, though he would not hesitate to point out any errors in your practice.

You would be eager to learn Vulcan chess as well as Kal-toh. Tuvok would inform you that they can be difficult games for non-Vulcans, but like with the meditation he would be happy to teach you.

In return, you would teach him your favourite games from Earth. He would find some human games to be illogical (like, say, if you introduced him to Exploding Kittens), but he would enjoy learning more about human activities and what you enjoy doing.

The two of you would talk about your families back in the Alpha Quadrant a lot. Tuvok wouldn't show it to anyone and would barely mention it to except you, but be deeply missed his wife and children. You would console each other and comfort one another, finding solace in each other's company.

Despite being so far from home, you and Tuvok found a found family with each other, and that would be something both of you would be eternally grateful for.
