Katherine would have trouble making friends and fitting in when she first arrived on the Enterprise. Everyone had been close to Beverly and some were wary of her replacement. But, working with her would allow for the two of you to grow closer and get to know one another.

You two would share your research interests with one another and enthuse about advances in your respective fields. You'd both relish in the shared interest in research and fields of study, truly enjoying having someone to talk to about it.

You two would work together often; conducting research on samples, producing vaccines, updating medical records, and assisting one another in medical procedures.

Off duty, you and Katherine would join the senior officers for poker quite often. But you'd also play games just the two of you. You'd introduce one another to your favourite games—board, card, or holosuite. It'd be a fun weekly tradition where the two of you would have game night.

Katherine would make sure to watch out for you and check in on you often. She's watch what you ate, what your mood was like, and how much you were working. She'd voice any concerns to you, both as your doctor and friend. And she'd offer any and all assistance she could give you.

You'd do the same for her, though maybe not to the same extent. You'd encourage her to take breaks and do things just for herself should she be stressed and overworked.

You'd encourage her to stay on board when Beverly returns, and you'd make a case to Picard of why both doctors should stay on the Enterprise. And so, Katherine would remain on board and the two of you would be able to further develop your bond and friendship.
