You were just taking scans, minding your own business, when something hard and cold came into contact with your shoulder, sending tiny bits of snow up into your collar. "Hey!" you exclaimed, spinning around. "What the hell?"

You saw Trip innocently looking away, pretending to be reading his tricorder.

"Trip, what the hell?" you repeated, brushing snow off your jacket.

He looked at you and smiled. "What? I didn't do anything."

You rolled your eyes. "You threw a snowball at me."

"Would I do such a thing?" he asked, feigning hurt.

You raised an eyebrow and cocked your head to the side.

He smiled. "Okay, okay. But come on, Y/N, when was the last time you were surrounded by so much snow?" Trip asked, gesturing around to the snow-covered field that you two were in.

"It's been a while," you admitted. "But we're supposed to be collecting scans to try and track down the source of the dilithium. T'Pol said it might be buried under the snow, or in a cave somewhere."

Trip sighed. "Babe, we've been at it for ages. Take a break and enjoy the snow."

You shook your head and turned back to the area you'd been scanning. "We have to complete these scans before Enterprise comes back for us."

"They won't be back for hours," he replied.

Another snowball hit you, this time in the head. "Trip!"

He started laughing.

You huffed and put your tricorder into its holder. "Fine. You want a snowball fight? I'll show you a snowball fight."

As you gathered snow into your hands, you saw Trip grin and do the same.

You chucked the snowball in his direction, but he moved out of its path and threw his own creation at you. Luckily for you, he missed.

You laughed. "Your aim's off," you called out, moving behind a tree as he made another snowball.

"I was just testing you," Trip called back.

You peeked out from the tree and squealed when you saw a snowball headed right for your face. You barely had time to move out of the way, and it hit your shoulder.

You quickly made a snowball and threw it at him. It hit him square in the chest.

That went on for several minutes: snowballs flew left and right and laughs and grunts escaped your mouths when one hit its target.

After getting hit with another snowball, Trip started to run towards you.

Your laugh echoed with his and you tried to move away, but he quickly caught your waist and pulled you close to him. You both lost your footing and you fell into the heap of snow, limbs tangled and bodies pressed against one another.

"Ah!" you exclaimed. "Snow went down my neck!"

Trip laughed and kissed the cold tip of your nose. "Sorry."

You playfully glared at him. "If I get frostbite, I'm blaming you."

"I'm sure you'll be fine," he murmured, moving to hover over you.

You looked up at him and smiled. With the blue sky behind him and the sun shining on his face, it was like a painting: a perfect moment captured in time of two lovers just having fun with each other.

"Thanks," you said after a moment of admiring the view, "for making me have some fun."

Trip smiled and kissed your lips softly. "My pleasure."
