It would be for a special occasion, maybe an anniversary or birthday. Malcolm would have planned it, to everyone's shock. Normally, he's reserved with PDA and the like, but he'd want this trip to be special for you two. He'd do a lot of research beforehand about where to take you; he'd talk to Trip, too, and would eventually agree that Risa would be a fun location.
The trip to Risa would be full of you looking up things to do. You'd look up which beaches were the best, which restaurants you'd want to try, and what tourist attractions you wanted to visit the most. You'd also look into things to watch out for (or, people to avoid). Malcolm would, with much embarrassment, recall his and Trip's encounter with the aliens who left them tied up in their underwear. You'd laugh, and pat his cheek and promise that that wouldn't happen this time around.
When you and Malcolm got there, you'd check in and he would bring you to a huge and beautiful suite. You'd be sure there was some mistake, but he'd assure you that this was the right room. He'd gotten the best room possible because you deserved it.
You two would spend your vacation exploring the natural landscapes, walking along the beaches hand in hand, visiting caves, going on walking trails, and just witnessing all of the natural beauty (well, as natural as it gets with the climate controls).
You'd also eat at all of the amazing restaurants, trying cuisine you'd never even heard of. We all know Malcolm is not a picky eater, but if you were he'd make sure there'd be something on the menu of each restaurant that would interest you and would help you decide what to eat.
Your evenings would consist of attending events like live music on the beaches, shows, performances, and whatever else Risa had to offer. You'd both be enthralled with the culture of it all; trying to take it all in while at the same time enjoying one another's company.
Your nights and mornings would be time set aside for along time. You'd spend the quiet hours of the day cuddling, kissing, making love, and just relishing in the peaceful, quiet time you two had together. You wouldn't want to leave, but you promised each other that you'd come back soon when you both had more shore leave. And until then, you'd both be sure to spend as much time with one another as possible on the Enterprise, and to not waste any alone time you two had.
