A/N: Warnings for mentions of blood, concussion, and burns

"Doctor!" Geordi shouted as he helped you into sickbay.

You were leaning heavily against Geordi, blood trickling down the side of your head as the burns on your hands and torso made you groan in pain.

Beverly exited her office, eyes widening when she took in your appearance. "What happened?"

"We were working on repairing the warp core injectors when a conduit blew," Geordi said, carefully bringing you to a biobed. "Y/N got most of the blast."

Beverly went to your side instantly and started taking scans.

"Nurse Ogawa, take a look at Geordi," she ordered. She gave him a sharp look. "And don't argue with me. You have burns, too."

Geordi nodded slightly and followed Ogawa to another bed.

You looked at Beverly, eyes wide with pain. "It happened so fast," you said, voice a bit hoarse. "One minute we were adjusting the input, the next... I was on my back and everything hurt."

"You're okay," she said softly. "I've got you."

You nodded slightly and winced, your head throbbing.

Beverly finished her scans. "You have a concussion and second degree burns on your hands and first degree burns on your chest. You're lucky. There's no nerve damage."

You forced out a smile. "Oh yeah, I feel very lucky."

She put a hand on your shoulder gently. "It's going to be okay. I'm going to fix you up and you'll be back on your feet in no time."

You nodded and watched as she grabbed two hyposprays as well as a dermal regenerator. She gave you the hypospray and within seconds you felt the pain starting to dissipate. She then injected the other hypospray into your side, just next to the burn.

"Those will help with the pain and speed up your recover," she told you.

"Thanks," you said.

Beverly nodded and lifted your arm, careful not to touch the burn. She ran the dermal regenerator over your hand slowly. "I'm going to need you to stay off duty for a few days."

You sighed, but nodded. "I figured as much."

"And I'll want you to stay here for the rest of the day for observation. I need to keep an eye on your concussion," she said.

You smiled softly. "That won't be so bad. I'll have you to keep my company."

A warm smile spread on Beverly's face. "I'll stay by your side and make sure you get better quickly."

"Not too quickly," you said, making her brow furrow. "Now I have an excuse to spend the whole day with you."

Beverly laughed lightly, moving the dermal regenerator to your other hand. "Well, don't get any ideas. I don't want you getting yourself hurt more just so you can see me."

You smiled. "Can't make any promises."
