"You're going to do what?"
I told Hayden that I had somewhat of a fascination with Diamond, which he said he already knew so it didn't surprise him but I also told him that I wanted to know more about her so I was going to ask if I can observe her while she fights.
But it came out wrong and now Hayden was laughing his ass off.
"Please shut up. I don't know how else to explain it."
He was laughing, leaning on the counter until he leans up and looks at me. "I'm sorry. That just.. you're going to embarrass the shit out of yourself and possibly get hit."
"I'll tell her I'm with the local journal, which I am. I'm observing."
"You're stalking.
"I am not."
He laughed.
"Shut up, Hayden."
He smiles. "I knew you liked her."
"I don't like her. I'm interested in-"
"That's the same thing." He laughs.
"No it's not." I cross my arms as he was shaking his head, making me feel like an idiot for even telling him anything.
"How are you going to do this? Without getting your ass kicked or embarrassing yourself."
I shrug as I stood there, leaning against the counter and thinking. I saw him stare at me as he was chuckling, but I ignored him as I walked out of the kitchen.
Violet was at work, so I'm glad she couldn't hear our conversation.
Hayden was making it hard cause he knew all along that I had some sort of interest in Diamond, but I hate to admit it cause I hardly know her.
This is already stupid but I can't ignore this anymore.
Something about Diamond was surely either going to get rid of this interest towards her or leave me wanting more.

"I'm so excited." Violet sat next to us as we were all sitting on the bleachers in the gym.
"You ain't the only one." Hayden said then leaned over to smile at me.
I shook my head as I ignored him, looking around and trying not to let him irritate me.
On the way here, he kept looking back at me and smiling. I knew it was a bad idea to tell him anything cause he always likes picking on me for whatever reason.
Violet was talking to Hayden as I looked around before spotting the stand that was across the gym. I smiled before standing up and excusing myself before walking down the bleachers.
The whole gym was noisy and there were too many people here.
I swear it was more crowded than last time.
My eyes remained on the stand as I was walking to it. I wanted some snacks, but wasn't sure what I wanted yet.
As I stood in line, I was the second person before the first one left then I walked up. I told them I wanted a sprite with popcorn and some skittles.
After I paid, I had my junk then walked back around to the other side of the gym. I saw a few people standing in the middle, hitting punching bags and getting ready to fight.
I remember Violet telling me that Diamond was fighting today and also other people, but a lot of people here were really here to see Diamond.
I don't blame them.
