It was getting close to Friday and I didn't think I had a chance.

Lance was training me so much but I kept having a gut feeling that everything I was doing wasn't enough.

Diamond was going to knock me out.

There was no way I could defeat a professional boxer when I don't know shit about boxing and I've only been training for a few days.

Lance was telling me otherwise, although he didn't believe in me cause I was going up against a professional. I knew he was only saying that to make me feel better but nothing was making me feel better.

"You have to believe in yourself."

"So you think I have a chance?"

"It's a possibility but I still wouldn't get your hopes up cause-"

"I know.. she a professional. You know how many time I heard that?"

He chuckled at that, but I didn't think it was funny.

That's all I've been hearing ever since I offered to fight her.

The last day was approaching and I was still training my ass off. I wasn't sure if I could even last another day cause these last few days were kicking my ass.

We were in the gym, not the same one, and I was a little amazed by it. I even asked Lance how he got in here and he said he had connections and this was a private place but he was allowed in here.

It was quiet and big.

He was currently teaching me how to hit a punching bag and even though it looked easy, it wasn't.

I made one punch and thought I broke my hand.

"Why make something hard as a rock that you're going to punch?"

"Strength." Lance said as he was holding the bag from the other side. "Boxing is strength."

"How strong do you have to be?" I said. "Damn, I almost broke my hand." I looked down at it after I took the glove off to make sure I actually didn't break it.

He smiles at me once I put the glove back on and looked up at him. "I'm here to teach you everything, Journey."

As we were going through the lessons, he was explaining to me the art of boxing. I was listening and really concentrating on the words and started understanding a little more.

Before Lance brought me here, he asked if I had a old sports bra and spandex that I could wear. I told him no but instantly went to Violet for it.

I knew she did.

She didn't mind when I asked her and gave me the thumbs up when I told her I was leaving to train.

They were coming around on believing me a little more but when I asked the same question one night to Violet, she told me that Diamond was still a professional.

That made me realize that all this training better pay off.

But they said they will be here Friday night to support me no matter what.

That made me feel better.

I wasn't about to get my ass kicked again.

I needed to win.

That's why I've been focused so much this week. I haven't let anything distract me and boxing was the only thing on my mind.

Nothing else matters.

I understood this is what people do when you're passionate about something.

Like I am with photography.
