When I woke up the next morning, my body was in shutdown mode. I felt like I couldn't move cause the soreness was even worse now and it was hard to move.

I wanted to stay in bed for a while and that's exactly what I did.

Diamond wasn't in bed cause I knew she took the girls to school.

I wasn't sure if she was going to go to the gym today but when the door to the bedroom opened, I knew she was back.

Looking over at her, she saw me before crawling on the bed and laying next to me before smiling at me. I saw her reach over and caress my cheek as she was looking at me.

"How are you feeling?"

"Sore." I said as I looked at her.

"How's your pain?"

Looking at her, I shrug. "It's ok but still hurting."

"You should of went to the hospital."

"I know but I didn't want to."

"You need any pain killers?" She asks.

I nodded then saw her get up and leave the room after a few moments.

Laying on my back, I sighed as I stared at the ceiling and tried stretching but it didn't help as everything was hurting worse now.

Looking towards the bathroom, I never once looked at myself in the mirror last night. I wasn't sure what to expect but I knew it was bad from all the reactions I had and how bad my face hurts.

I got up and walked to the bathroom before looking in the mirror once I stopped in front of it.

I was completely caught off guard by my reflection.

This wasn't even me that was in the mirror.

My whole face was bruised and looked terrible.

No wonder Diamond wanted me to go to the hospital.

The pain from my face was pretty much gone. It was just the pain from my body when they kicked me and slung me around on the asphault.

I looked my face over, still caught off guard by the way I looked. I shook my head as I sighed before walking out of the bathroom in time for Diamond to walk in the bedroom.

She looks at me as I slightly smile before she approached me. "Are you ok?" I nodded as I saw the pain killers in her hands and she handed me two then gave me a water bottle.

After I took it, I handed her the water before walking back to the bed and sitting down. Diamond was right next to me in a second and we sat there for a moment.

"Did Brooke take the girls to school?"

"Yes."

"Why aren't you at the gym?"

She looks at me before giving me a confused look. "I wasn't going to leave you here alone."

Nodding, I knew she wasn't going to leave me. I smiled at that before looking down at her hands that were in her lap.

"What's on your mind?" She asks after a moment.

I look up at her before shrugging. "A lot. What happened last night and all this shit."

It was a lot to take in even after it all happened.

It felt like a dream cause it didn't seem real.

Never in my life have I ever experienced that and it was something I would never forget.

"Have you heard from the police yet?"
