"How old are you?"
I saw Diamond look over at me and I wasn't sure what to expect cause I thought she would get mad for asking or tell me that she wasn't going to tell me.
We were in the gym and I was sitting on the bleachers as she was looking through her bag. I was watching her and wanted to ask her a question that's been on my mind ever since I saw her but was too scared.
I let my confidence get ahold of me.
She was looking at me as she was crouched down in front of her bag and I was waiting for an answer from her.
"I'm-"
"Diamond!"
Looking over, I saw Michael approach us before Diamond stood up and turned towards him. I watch as they were talking for a moment then I looked around until I saw Violet hitting a punching bag.
Smiling, I watch her for a moment as I was extremely proud of her. She has come a long way from when she started and I was very proud.
Always supporting her.
Hayden was at work so he wasn't here.
When Violet saw me, she freaked out and asked why I haven't been to the hospital. I told her that it was over with and as soon as the police can find them then there's nothing more to worry about.
She asked if I was taking medication and I told her that Diamond gave me some this morning.
"I'm happy for you. I notice how much she takes care of you. Have you found out what the whole past thing is about with Lance?"
Nodding, I told her that I did find out. I was glad she didn't ask cause I knew she wasn't nosy like Hayden was so she wasn't asking questions about what Diamond told me.
Diamond was worried about me but she didn't really seem phased by Lance or Ryder. I wasn't sure if she wasn't concerned that they would come back after me or the fact that they beat me up cause she hasn't shown any emotion towards it.
But I didn't let it get to me as I knew she was taking care of me and making sure I was ok.
Diamond walked off with Michael as I was sitting there looking around at everyone. I kept looking over at Violet as she was training and I smiled as I kept my eyes on her.
Looking around, I looked towards the entrance then saw Lance walk in and it made my heart stop. I quickly got up and looked around for Diamond before seeing her over with Michael next to the ring.
I walked to her without looking back at Lance as I was making sure I hurried up before he saw me.
Hopefully he didn't see me yet.
Diamond was talking to Michael as I walked to her and her eyes landed on me. I saw her look at me and she instantly knew something was wrong when she walked to me and stopped me.
"What's wrong?"
"Lance just walked in."
She looked around before walking away from me and I stood there for a moment before turning to watch her.
I saw her walk towards him as he was at the bleachers, looking through his bag and I saw Diamond walking towards him with a quick pace and I was ready for what was about to come.
Diamond didn't hesitate as she threw a punch at him then he was down in a matter of seconds. I watch her step over him before yelling as loud as she could as he was on the ground, covering his face.
That's when I saw Violet look around and rush towards me before asking if I was ok. I told her I was fine and I went to Diamond as soon as I saw him enter the gym.
"Why would he show his face here?"
"I don't know."
Violet was holding onto me as someone was calling the cops and someone else was holding Diamond back as she was ready to jump on Lance.
Lance was pulled away and someone was making sure Diamond walked away.
She walked back towards us and Violet was still holding onto me when she approached us.
"Are you ok?"
Violet released me then and Diamond looked at her before thanking her.
I slowly nodded. "Just got scared."
Diamond pulled me into a hug and I wrapped my arms around her before leaning my head against her chest. I could feel her heart beating fast in her chest and I sighed as I felt safe now.
The cops came a few minutes later and took Lance away.
I was happy.
It felt amazing to know they have him now but I still wanted to know why he came here in the first place.
"What about Ryder?" Violet asks.
I look over at her then shrugged. "I don't know." I look at Diamond as she was still holding me. "Did you hear anything yet?"
"Not yet." She rubs my back before kissing my head and I saw Violet smiling at me.
After a while and everything settled down, I walked over to the bleachers with Violet. I was still a little shaken up from seeing Lance and Violet could definitely tell.
"It's ok, Journey. He's gone."
"But Ryder is still out there. I'm scared to go anywhere by myself now."
Violet kept looking at me before looking around. "When do you go back to work?"
"I don't know. I haven't heard anything. I kind of don't want to go back right now until I know Ryder is locked up."
She nods as she looks at me. "Stay with Diamond for a while. She'll keep you safe. Plus, if Hayden or I have to work then you'll be there alone."
Nodding, I look over at Diamond. "Ok."
"I love you." She hugs me before walking back to her trainer.
Sighing, I was still a little scared to even be anywhere alone. I was so shaken up from that small encounter.
But knowing Ryder was out there, waiting for me, was even more scarier.
