Chapter Forty Two

It's been a few weeks and Ryder was arrested a few days after Lance was arrested.

When Diamond told me, I was more than happy about it. I had a relief that I knew was going to be there until I found something out and it was a little hard to even think about anything else when I knew Ryder was out there.

It was all over now.

Diamond and I were going strong and we've been together for a month now.

It was great.

I finally found out her age when I asked that day at the gym.

She didn't tell me until later that night.

"I'm thirty four."

It made me feel good to actually know her age now. I asked her why she didn't let anyone know and she said it wasn't anyone's business so she kept it a secret for years.

Ever since she started boxing.

Nobody knew her age.

It was crazy that she kept it that long.

But I understood why she didn't want anyone knowing.

It's just more shit some people would take and twist around to get a story off of her.

Like Ryder did.

He was in over his head on the whole Diamond story. I couldn't understand why he was so crazy about it and I really wanted to know but wasn't sure if Diamond knew or not.

I didn't ask her.

It was all over with.

When I went back to work, my boss was apologizing to me about how Ryder was. She said she didn't know how bad he was but she should of known from his background.

I told her that it didn't matter anymore. I knew that Ryder was gone and not causing trouble for anyone.

Later that week, I asked Diamond if she wanted to have a little get together with everyone. She asked why but I told her that it would be fun and we'd all enjoy.

Madison and Morgan liked the idea.

They actually loved it and asked if they could help decorate everything but Diamond was on the fence about it.

When I asked them about what they thought about me dating their mom, they loved it. They told me that they knew it would happen cause Diamond really liked me and she always talked about me.

Which I have yet to ask her about.

I really wanted to see if she would tell me the truth from what I heard from her daughters and best friend.

I told Hayden and Violet about the little get together and they loved the idea. I told them that we still haven't figured out all the details, date or anything like that but I would let them know something.

It was going to be so much fun.

When the next week came, we were all getting ready for the get together.

Diamond and I were at her house, getting things ready as Brooke and the girls went shopping to get food for tonight.

I texted Violet and told her to be ready when I messaged her and I honestly couldn't wait.

I was hanging up a banner the girls had bought. I knew it was silly cause Diamond even asked why we need a banner for a get together but the girls insisted that we needed one so we went with it.
