Watching Diamond was something I liked doing a little too much.
I would catch myself staring too long before looking away but always caught myself looking back without realizing it.
Violet and Hayden walked into the gym an hour after we got here. I was watching them as I was waiting for them to notice me as Violet was getting ready and Hayden was sitting on the bleachers.
I had messaged Violet this morning, telling her that I would be coming to the gym with Diamond and she messaged back a few minutes later.
She was a little surprised by it and said she would see me there.
When Diamond offered to take me here with her, I was surprised but didn't want to say no cause a part of me wanted to ride with her.
To be seen with her.
Even though everyone already knows that we're seeing each other cause the paper says it all.
It's still good to know that everyone knows.
Not sure why.
Looking around, I saw more people come in as it was getting time for everyone to come in now. I was sitting where Diamond usually sits, looking around and glancing at her every once in a while.
That's when I saw Hayden look over and caught me. I smiled at him before waving and he did the same before walking on the bleachers towards me.
"Hey." He said as he sat down next to me. "How was your night? Violet said you spent the night with Diamond."
"Yeah. She insisted."
He smiles. "Mhm. Did you also want to spend the night?"
"More or less."
I saw him shake his head before smiling. "Did you have a great night?"
"Sure."
"You're not going to give me any details?"
"About what?" I ask as I look at him.
He chuckles. "About what happened last night."
I stare at him for a moment. "What details do you want? Nothing happened."
He kept looking at me, not buying what I was saying. I shrug as I look away. I knew that he thought something happened but nothing did so I'll just continue to let him think that.
Diamond was walking around, coaching someone as they were training. I couldn't help but smile then caught Hayden watching me when I looked over at him.
"You got it bad."
"Shut up."
"Are you dating now?" He asks.
I look over at him before looking back at Diamond for a moment. "No. We're just seeing each other.. I guess."
"You guess?"
Nodding, I look over at him before before leaning back on the bleachers. "Yeah."
He gave me a confused look. "What does that mean?"
"Exactly what I said."
"You don't know if you're seeing each other or not?"
Shrugging, I didn't know what to tell him. Diamond never told me what we were and I wasn't in a rush to find out.
I still haven't told them about that kiss that night or every other kiss we shared.
Hayden kept staring at me, wanting me to spill whatever tea I had about us. I wasn't even sure what to tell him so I kept my mouth shut.
Diamond was watching around and I couldn't keep my eyes off of her. I saw her talking to someone she was training before looking around and catching my eyes.
I slightly smiled before waving and she looked away but I saw a slight smile on her face before she did.
"You actually broke her walls." Hayden said. "I just saw her smile for the first time."
"Shut up." I said as he was smiling at me.
After a while, Violet walked over and pulled me into a hug. She was telling me how happy she was for me and that we needed to go out sometime.
"You're basically living with her now."
I gave her a confused look. "I only spent the night two times over there."
"That's basically living with her." She smiles. "Plus, you went out with her twice."
"So?"
"Are you not dating?"
"They don't even know." Hayden said.
Violet gave me a confused look before hearing her name then excusing herself before walking away. I kept watching her until I look over at Hayden, who was looking around.
"Mind your business."
He looks at me and chuckles. "Can't. We're best friends."
I shook my head as I was regretting telling him anything. I knew he never let things go and when it came to Diamond, he kept on and wouldn't shut up about it.
Ever since I first saw her, he knew something before I even did.
He was the one to point something out when I didn't even see it.
"Do you think Diamond liked me before everything?"
Hayden looks at me and nods. "Yeah, I do."
"How?"
"Cause she was always looking at you. Staring at you from across the gym. That woman couldn't keep her eyes off of you."
Looking at him, I wanted to roll my eyes but now that I think about it, he was right. I remember Diamond looking at me through the pictures I took or I would catch her staring at me when I would look around.
"She was also staring hard at you that time you were walking up the bleachers."
Nodding, I wanted to roll my eyes but I knew that Diamond liked me now cause she told me. I just wasn't sure about before cause it didn't make any sense.
She was hard to crack.
As we were sitting there, I caught sight of Diamond and I smiled before looking around and seeing Lance standing off in the corner.
He was looking at something as he was standing there, holding something in his hands and I kept my eyes on him for a moment.
I knew he was with Ryder for whatever reason to get dirt on Diamond.
I wasn't sure what his past was with her.
But he wasn't going to mess with her.
Even if Diamond didn't care and it didn't bother her.
I wasn't going to let them do a damn thing.
Looking over at Hayden, I knew that I needed to figure this all out a little more. I wasn't sure what good that was going to do but at least I'll have more witnesses in case something does happen.
I looked back at Diamond and smiled as I watched her, knowing that I couldn't wait to go back to her house.
