Ch. 20- Date?

Ring ring ring

I answer my phone when I see who's calling me.

Y/N:
"Yoongz?! Hey!"

Yoongi:
"Hey, Love. Are you just waking up?"

Y/N:
"I am. Anyway, what's up?"

Yoongi:
"I just wanted to see if you're free tonight. Tom got four tickets to a play tonight from his boss. His brother is coming with. I know you think Ethan is attractive. I was checking to see if you'd like to join us."

Y/N:
"As much as I find Ethan drop dead gorgeous, and the play sounds fun...I actually have plans tonight."

Yoongi:
"Oh, do you, now?! What are your big plans?"

Y/N:
"I'm just going out to dinner with a colleague."

Yoongi:
"A colleague? Namjoon?"

Y/N:
"Um, no..."

Yoongi:
"Oh, is it Jin?!"

Y/N:
"Um..."

Yoongi:
"It's with him, Y/N! Is it a date?!"

Y/N:
"NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT!"

Yoongi:
"Are you sure?"

Y/N:
"We are just going out to dinner as friends, Yoongi! Don't make it out to be more than it really is."

Yoongi:
"Whatever it is, I can't believe you agreed to go out to dinner with him!"

Y/N:
"Jin and I have been getting along at work lately and I don't see the harm in grabbing a bite together. We'll probably just have dinner and talk about work and such. Do you think it's a terrible idea to go?"

Yoongi:
"No, I don't think it's bad that you're going out to dinner with Jin. I actually think it's good that the two of you have buried the hatchet and you're both able to get along these days."

Y/N:
"I kept debating if I should really go through with this dinner or not, but you're right- he and I are in a good place, and this seems like a way to clear the air between us after all these years."

Yoongi:
"Well, I'm disappointed you won't be joining us tonight, but I'm excited you're going on a date with Jin!"

Y/N:
"It's not a date, Yoongi!"

Yoongi:
"Whatever, Y/N!"

I can hear him chuckle on the line.

Yoongi and I continue to talk about what's been going on with our jobs, him and Tom, and I've filled him in on Jeongguk and I keeping in touch while he's still in Prague and how I'm looking forward to seeing him when he comes back in a couple weeks. I also told him about Vernon and he kept teasing me about how I'm juggling so many men these days. After a while, Yoongi had to go so we said our goodbyes and I ended the call.
