Ch. 36- Unannounced Visit

It's now 8pm on a Monday.

I've called Jeongguk a couple times today. The first time was this morning right before I left my place and the second time was during my lunch. I've also texted him a couple times to see if he was willing to talk to me in person but he never replied. I also tried to get a hold of him yesterday with no such luck.

I had holed myself in my office during my lunch today. I forgot to bring my food. But, around my lunch break, I heard my door get knocked on a few times. I loudly told whoever was knocking to come in, but they didn't. When I opened the door to see if the mystery person would still be there, I was met with a bag full of Panda Express on the floor and a large sticky note was stuck on the bag.

On the sticky-note, it read:

Y/N,

Don't work yourself too hard. Here's your favorite from Panda Express. Make sure you give yourself some time to eat before your next class. Just looking out for you.

I saw Jin enter his office as I was reading the note. In the bag, was a Panda bowl with fried rice and honey walnut shrimp and a bag of cream cheese rangoons.

I was feeling miserable. But, when I saw the bag and note from Jin, it was exactly what I needed to make me smile for the first time today.

Though I asked Jin to give me space, he's still trying to show that he's there for me while still respecting me by giving me the time I asked for. And, I'm honestly grateful that he cares so much about me to do sweet things like bring me lunch. Even when he talked to Yoongi over the weekend, it meant a lot to me that Jin went out of his way to at least make sure that I had other friends to look out for me. If he couldn't be the one to be there for me, he at least made sure I was taken care of by Yoongi and Jenna.

Jin truly does make me so happy.

But, I still couldn't help but be sad about the fact that Jeongguk has been avoiding me. He's never done this and it hurts to know that he could easily push me out of his life.

I had forced myself to stay strong during all my lectures today. Though, I was mentally struggling because it was difficult to not constantly have Jeongguk on my mind.

So, here I am now. It's nighttime and I'm ringing the doorbell of Jeongguk and Jimin's apartment.

I know it might not be the greatest idea to show up unannounced, but I'm just so desperate to speak to him.

I ring the doorbell, feeling a little bit nervous about how Jeongguk will react with me showing up to his place unexpectedly.

A half a minute passes and the door opens.

"Y/N! Hey!" Jimin tries to greet me in an upbeat tone, but I can tell by his facial expression that he's surprised to see me.

"Hi, Jimin...is Jeongguk available?" I ask him, sounding the least bit confident that I'll get to see Jeongguk. I did see his car in his parking space.

"Um, he's home but he has someone over," he awkwardly shares with me.

"Oh," I say, not thinking much about it. Then, it hits me- I realize what he meant. Jeongguk has a woman over and I widen my eyes at Jimin.
