Jin's 1st Person POV

I watch as Y/N speeds off, away from me and Namjoon and she disappears into her office.

I make a mental note that she's only a few doors away from my office.

It's been ten years since I've seen Y/N in the flesh. And, I'd be lying if I said she isn't as beautiful as ever. I thought she was insanely captivating when we were younger, but she's shockingly even more breathtaking now.

The way she looked in a black-fitted sweater tucked into a plaid pencil skirt, with black pumps- it all just accentuated her figure, her figure that once made me putty in her hands. I was crazy about her back then.

Namjoon takes me away from my thoughts.

"Why does it seem like she was trying to get away from us so quickly? That's so unlike her when I'm around her," Namjoon states.

"It's because of me, that's why...fuck," I say out, frustratingly. "Namjoon, let's go into my office."

I walk over to my door, with Namjoon following behind. As soon as we are in, Namjoon takes a seat in one of my chairs and I go over to sit on my desk chair.

"So, are you going to explain?" Namjoon asks, raising a brow at me.

"Y/N was someone I was head over heels for when we were younger but I fucked it all up." I reveal to Namjoon.

"You're shitting me! That makes a lot of sense now when I had told her and her friend, who was visiting her for lunch, last Friday, that you were starting here in her department. They looked shocked when I said your name!" Namjoon explained to me.

"What friend?" I ask, curiously.

"I remember his name...it's Yoongi."

"No shit," I think out in a whisper. Then I return to a normal volume, "It makes sense they're still friends, or are they more?"

"No, he had a wedding ring on...I checked since the man is gorgeous, but Y/N definitely is not married." Namjoon informs me.

"She's not?" I question out loud.

"Shocking right?! She's such a catch," Namjoon honestly says.

"She is," I simply reply back.

"Now, how and why the hell did you fuck it up with her, Jin-hyung?!" Namjoon looks at me, narrowing his eyes.

"It was ten years ago. The last couple years of high school, I had this crush on her but she was so reserved and, at times, intimidating. She's brilliant and I was just in awe of her back in high school. I thought she was out of my league. A lot of guys thought that way especially since she would always turn down dates. So I'd keep my feelings to myself," I start to explain my story to Namjoon.

"Interesting! She's like that now. I've had a colleague in my department who's a stand up guy and nice to look at, even. Well, he tried to ask her on a date but she quickly declined. I don't think she dates at all," Namjoon shares this tidbit that I keep in mind.
