Jin's 1st Person POV

it's been almost two years since I moved to Los Angeles and started teaching at UCLA.

Y/N is thankfully still very much in my life. We are also both still working at the same university, thriving together in the Math and Economics department.

A year ago, Jenna and Hoseok got married, and obviously they moved in together in a new place. Before Jenna moved out of her shared apartment with Y/N, Y/N asked me how I felt about us living together. Since we've been dating for a year, at that point, I told her I was all for the idea of us living together, so I ended up moving into Y/N's apartment. And, living together has been quite the amazing experience. Sometimes I wonder how I survived after having left her when we were in college. I don't know how I managed to live without her for those ten years. My life is better with her in it.

I love waking up to her beside me in bed. I love that we just carpool together since we work at the same school. Even if one of us eventually transfers or decides to change professions, we'll always support one another. She has been so helpful with my career and vice versa. We are each other's sounding boards when we want to vent about a lesson that didn't go well or if we are struggling with research work.

I also love all the adventures we get into, such as going on adventurous dates and taking camping trips. She even goes fishing with me since she knows I love it. After going on tons of fishing trips, she admitted that she has fun going with me. She loves to go out salsa dancing, and even though I hate it since I'm the most uncoordinated person and have no rhythm, I still go out with her as her dancing partner. I know she finds joy in me accompanying her and and I'll do anything to see her smiling.

I love constantly learning more about each other. I love that we teach other new things and experiences, whether it be in the kitchen or, you know...in the bedroom.

Our sexual appetite for each other is pretty healthy these days. That woman drives me wild.

Simply, I love Y/N in my life.

When we crossed paths two years ago, all my feelings for Y/N flooded back. Who knew that she would end up giving me a chance. First, we started being friends and we eventually decided to be together when we realized we still love each other. She was meant to be in my life. It all makes sense.

She's the woman I'm meant to grow old with.

It's currently close to 5pm, on Friday. I have Namjoon in my office, aiding me with the set up of my office and also helping mentally prepare me for what I plan to do in a few minutes.

He helped me tidy up my office and scatter rose petals on the ground in the shape of a giant heart. I placed some petals on my desk for good measure. About a half hour ago, I stealthily snuck Jenna into the building because she volunteered to deliver three heart shaped balloons. Y/N loves balloons and three is her favorite number. I'm glad Y/N didn't catch Jenna hauling the balloons into my office which I placed by the door so it'll be the first thing she sees.

After I'm satisfied with how my office looks, Namjoon tells me to take deep breaths and leaves to head home for the day.

I decide to call Y/N, like I usually do at this time of day to see if she's ready to head home.

I pull my phone out of my left blazer pocket. The other pocket contains something even more valuable. I pull up Y/N's contact, which is saved as my number one favorite contact.
