*Dedicated to Ed; a wonderful older gentleman on my boat that developed pneumonia and couldn't finish his vacation.*
He doesn't wear a cape
Isn't faster then a speeding bullet
Nor more powerful then a locomotive
But his life experiences have made him
The man of steelA warrior through and through
Won't let his guard down for a second
To complain or whine
Brave face to all
Real soldier; a soul soldierDidn't take much to see his kindness
Quite humorous
This man can be friends with anyone
Making them feel comfortable, cared for
Through a simple sentence or gestureThough a vacation cut short
Life is unpredictable
The days spent together on this boat
Will always be rememberedThe man of steel
And his lovely wife
Will forever be ingrained in my heart
Hope to stay in touchMeeting again on the flip side
Of some ocean or sea
Sailing away into the setting sun
With the underwater world all around us.
