My Warrior Path (Book 6)

A Little Note

Growing up in the tri-state area
Of the east coast
I have been jaded to celebrities
That have homes in my state
Or that I see on the streets
Of New York City

I never ask for autographs
I simply do not care
They are just regular people to me
I never fan girl

But I do have people
That I admire that I have
Reached out to
Each time, I wrote
A little note

The first was to the Broadway actor
Who played the Phantom
In the Phantom of the Opera
My favorite musical of all time

This was back in my college days
He has since retired
But he wrote me
A little note
Which I taped to my wall
In my home office

Since then I have met
Many of my idols and had photos taken
With them
I tried the tourist thing by
Meeting the Blindspot cast

But it wasn't me
Though the selfies came out nice
Jaimie Alexander was great in person

Sullivan Stapleton had a hard time
Getting his point across
But still very friendly

Ashley Johnson was stunning and kind
She was my favorite to meet

This was the first and last time
I did anything of this nature
With actors

The ones that meant the most to me
Were the Paranormal community folks
Chip Coffey, who has done 2 readings
For me
I met first in 2013

Then James Van Praagh
Whose books and cards I have
Filling up my bookcase

Him I met twice
And this past October
I got a chance to watch a Paranormal lecture
By Dustin Pari

Learning about haunted New England
Was very fascinating
I look forward to more chapters like this

But that is not all
I collect Danielle Steel books
A book this summer touched me so
That I went to her site
And left her
A little note

A few weeks later
She responded:

You can't imagine my delight
To receive such a lovely message
From an author whose work
I've read since high school

The last of late
That I reached out
And sent
A little note
Was to a man

James Autry
Was one of the catalysts
From which I had my career changing
Epiphany in grad school

He was a CEO of a Fortune 500 company
In the '80s and is a motivational speaker
On servant leadership
Author and poet
So writing and telling him
How he helped change my course of life
Was something important to me

His response was swift and heartwarming:

When writing
A little note
Be it to someone you admire
Or just a friend
The peace and happiness
You get is indescribable

The internet can be overrated
So take out a pen and paper
And put down your own
Little note

You can change someone's day
And brighten up your own
