Everyone has that
Run over feeling
Run over
By work
School
Taxes
Other peopleGrandma got run over, literally!
By a reindeer
That sucker didn't even blink!Today, I felt just like that poor bitty
Except in my case
I got run over by a microwave
Though not literally
'Cause ours is deadIt wasn't its fault either
My mother killed it
With a paper plate and a potato
It was only 9 years old
Not sure if that has a people yearsBut no, it had friends
On display at Home Depot
Some cost so much, you'd think
They warmed up gold! And I was dragged from one aisle
To the next and back
Until they were all looking at me
"Buy me"
If I closed my eyes, I could see
Them just running me over
Trying to get boughtTook 2 hours in regular time
But for those that shop at
Home Depot
You know there's a time warp2 hours feels like an 8 hour work day
In the appliance or tile sections particularly
You go in with the sunshine and people
And exit with a full moon and possibly
Werewolves in a deserted parking lotSo that's how the afternoon and evening went
With a slate GE microwave
Going to be delivered on Thursday
That felt like it pranced more then the othersMeanwhile, all that was left of me were
Drag marks
An appliance had metaphorically
Kicked my ass
