The Expo

I followed Chip's advice
To find like minded individuals
In the paranormal realm
This event appeared on my FB
In mid-January

Run by New Jersey Paranormal
The 6th annual NJ Paraunity Expo
In Woodbridge
The main event was in the style
Of a convention
The VIP Party was that evening

On a whim
I decided, why not?
What did I really have to lose?
This past weekend, I went
Drove from Connecticut
To New Jersey; a 1.5 hour trip
Overnight at a Comfort Inn

Met two sisters at the actual
Expo and spent the afternoon
Browsing, meeting, taking pictures
Listening to a lecture

Then back to my hotel room
To nap and get ready for the VIP Party
That night
At the door, I met a slew of people

Two of whom, a husband and wife
I spent the rest of the night chatting with
Two sisters, were next to me
On the dance floor
Chasing a creeper away from one
We struck up a conversation

We ended up at our hotel's bar until 2am
Chatting, sharing ability stories
It was so refreshing
To be in the company of not just
Paranormal celebrities
From the shows I loved
But real people, I could spend time with

In the end, ours was just the beginning
As we exchanged FB info and are now
Chatting and hoping to get together soon
In NYC for some dancing and laughing
Perhaps find a ghost hunting tour in July

The expo brought people together
Not just from the tri-state area
But from around the globe
New friends and bonds were forged
That night
