As December entered, the weather turned very cold. The day was icy grey, the sky was overcast with clouds and chilly winds were blowing.
The entire skyline of New York City was twinkling with multicolored and flashing Christmas lights, bouncing off the snow. Inside, the huge Christmas three was glimmering with more lights and shining gold and silver ornaments, towering the elegant living room of the Avenger Tower.
The steaming mug of tea was lying untouched on the small table before the comfy armchair you were curled in.
You had settled on your favorite spot, right in front of the fireplace, a book opened on your lap even if you were actually not reading it. You had fallen to stare at the dancing flames with unfocused eyes after the first paragraph, your mind wandering through your memories.
After two years of living with the Avenger, you still couldn't quite believe it was all real.
