"This kid is such a loser... I was able to perform my first summoning charm when I was only 3 years old!" Loki turned to you, tossing a popcorn in the air a catching it with his open mouth. "And by the way, do you have to recite every line of this? I am trying to follow the plot."

You giggled and reached the bowl for more popcorn. You couldn't help to quote the most famous lines of your favorite saga.

You were halfway the Harry Potter the Goblet of Fire and Loki seemed to be really enjoying the story. He had curled up cat-like on the couch, and he kept jumping at each turn of events, spreading popcorn everywhere from the bowl on his lap, and laughing at every funny line.

You were still worried about the team being out. It had been a long time already, and you had no news from them as Jarvis refused to give you updates when you sneaked in the kitchen to prepare the popcorns. But Loki's companionship was great and the saga sufficiently distracting. Or maybe it was his closer presence in the dim light.

The unexpected electricity that had flowed through you the moment the room had gone black was still there, making you hyper aware that Loki was sitting just few inches from you. He, on the contrary, seemed perfectly comfortable and relaxed, engrossed by the show and apparently not affected at all by your presence there. Of course.

Loki seemed particularly touched by scene in which professor Moody described the three Unforgivable Curses. "That Imperius Curse..." he started, his tone fading in a whisper. "Uhm?" You turned at him, your mouth full of popcorn.

"It looks similar to when I took mind control of Hawkeye" You sit upright at his reply, raising a brow. "New York. I... I acted like a monster" he continued not taking his eyes from the movie, with a husky, harsh voice that seemed to have an hint of both anger and pain.

You both sat in silence for an awkward moment, the film playing in background.

"I'm sorry" you said to him, not taking your eyes away from the screen too.

"I beg your pardon?" Now it was his turn to be confused. He turned to look at you.

"I am sorry that people had to see and kept to remember a twisted version of yourself. I met you not long ago but for what it's worth, I really think you are no longer like that, if ever you had really been. Definitely, you are not a monster." you told him softly, turning to meet his surprised emerald eyes. "And I am sorry no one helped you, or believed you for such a long time."

"I..." You recognized in his tone an edge like someone who is well accustomed at being mistreated and not believed, rather than being trusted. "I am no longer like that just because of the guys and... it's kind of a miracle they trust me... well, sort of." He said a little bit sheepishly.

Silence fallen again.

"I trust you." You didn't know from were such a statement came from, but still you felt it as the right thing to say. It was true, after all. Just, you didn't dare to look at him anymore, so you move your glance down to your lap, and started to fiddle with the end of your braid.

"Well, that is pretty impressive" he said pleasantly "Not an easy thing for one who is the God of Lies" he half laughed and you followed him, forcing your head in his direction. You saw what seemed to be the paler accent of pink on his cheekbones. That couldn't be of course. Maybe it was just the lights from the movie.
