As expected, you recovered really quickly.

You slept very sound that night, thus you kept to dream about a sort of presence in your room which felt strangely friendly rather that creepy, and you also had the impression to have seen a shimmer of green light fading away when you opened your eyes. You shrugged: most probably you had imagined that.

You sit upright in your bed, back on the headboard, checking if your head was going to spin wildly at the  shift of position, but apparently you were steady enough to stand on your feet. So you gleefully jumped out of bed, changed in basic jeans and t-shirt and tied your side braid while you strolled out of your room.

Clint was making breakfast again that morning; at the dining table, Tony elbowed Bruce to get his attention on a newspaper article he was reading, Loki and Thor were bickering for some silly reason and Nat was looking over files together with Steve.

"Our saviour is here!" Clint welcomed you, cheerfully handing out a plate of french toast which smelled deliciously. You smiled at him quite embarrassed by the nickname he had given you, and he blinked while your reached the plate he was offering.

Taking seat in your usual spot near Loki, you were glad to see that also the rest of the team greeted you very warmly and happily, clapping their hands on your shoulder or giving you high-five. They knew you had spared them a week or more of bandages, stitches and meds, not to talk about the pain and the time for recovery.

It had been right after that night, in fact, that the team had really started to believe in your capacities, especially Steve, who stuck out a piece of paper across the table the moment you finished to eat your toast: looking down at the table printed on it, you gulped in seeing the long list of appointments he had set up for you and all the team members: you realized he and Nat had put together a very hard, challenging training schedule for the next few weeks.

"You'll start tomorrow with me and Nat, training room C. But for today I wish you relax and rest. You deserve it" he added smiling, when you looked up at him quite concerned.

That didn't had to be said twice.

You literally spent all the day curled up in your favorite spot of the living room. Loki stayed with you the entire morning, enjoying the TV serie you had picked up out of Netflix, and he sadly apologised when he told you he had to leave you for an appointment he had with Steve.

It was Thor who stepped in the moment Loki left, jumping on the other side of your couch and nonchalantly asking what you would had wished to do. You had the vague doubt he had been sent by his brother to keep an eye on you and some company. It didn't made any difference, as Thor companionship was simply amazing: he was fun, jovial and really good at playing videogames. You stopped the Mario Kart challenge just to have lunch with a couple of club sandwiches you prepared, and spent the rest of the afternoon with a very addictive 3D shooter game. You had a lot of little talk in between, and he told you about his girlfriend, Jane, who was a physicist and currently working in Colorado. He insisted to have a video call with her to introduce you, and she had been really happy to meet you.

The next morning, you stepped out the elevator in your training suit heading to reach Natasha for your first training session with her, but stopped frozen in front of the door of one of the training rooms along the corridor.

Loki and Thor were pairing in drills and you couldn't help to stay there, staring, beyond fascinated at the abilities and the strength of both of them. You watched as they punched and kicked at each other, literally flying in the air as they fought, and you saw both of them actually smile in front of the other as they speed up through the drills. Loki summoned a couple of daggers and backflipped them in his hands, tilting his head to challenge his brother, who grinned wildly in reply.

The grace with which Loki moved was breathtaking. You were of course not affected by the fact that his t-shirt was sticking to his thin but strong shape, highlighting the lines of his chest and back muscles, nor by the fact he continued to backflip his long, corvine hair in between the exercises. Not at all. Despite the fact he was really really hot.

Loki must have caught your fascinated gaze at a certain point, as he suddenly lifted one hand to catch Thor's attention and asked him for a pause from the training. You jumped, highly embarrassed when he grabbed a towel, tossed it around his neck and reached the door, opening it widely and gesturing for you to come in.

"I can teach you, if you would like" he told you once you sheepishly stepped in. You stood, thrilled and curios, but looked over Thor to seek his opinion as you had actually interrupted, unwilling, their session. "Go on, Y/N" he told you warmly with his beaming tone, reaching the fridge to pull out a freezing cold soda can and sunk on the bench on the right side of the room.

Loki offered you a dagger and began walking you through the basics, standing behind your shoulders and shifting your hands, arms and legs in the correct position. His mint-scented breath caressed the back of you ear while he leaned closer to help you, and that gave you a spark of goosebumps.

"I am impressed" he commented after a while and you grinned maliciously at him.

Natasha bursted the door open and reached you from the back. "Hey, Loki, will you please stop to charm Y/N? She is with me today." he called half-smiling looking at the scene. She grabbed your forearm and dragged you away before you could protest. Following her in defeat, you turned your head back at Loki, pouting and waiving goodbye, and he bursted in a laugh in reply at your deliberate child-like and hilarious expression.

"Y/N, you will have a testing session downstairs tomorrow morning" Rogers called you at the end of the dinner, exactly two weeks later. You looked up over at him, confused. "We must understand the extend of your skills, Y/N. You had improved a lot since you joined and I need a proper benchmark to see how you will fit in the team" He explained simply.

Despite your small protests, the very next morning you ended up in the middle of one of the training room with Steve, Tony, Bruce, Nat, Clint, Thor and Loki.

Steve made you pair with each of the team members, minus Loki and Bruce, who had been exempted by the exercise (the first being your coach, the second... well no one would like to piss off the Hulk without a real need) and went to sad down at the far end of the room.

"This will be fun" Loki elbowed Bruce, excited to be the only one who known what you were able to do.
