You still looked ashamed and sad when you stepped into the living room, hand in hand with Loki.

You were warmly greeted by everyone, who pretended not to see your red eyes and swollen face when you slowly settled on the pillow around the coffe table which was left open for you, Loki dropping down at your side. Thor handed you out a box of Mexican food with the softer smile of him; Natasha started talking about some random topics and got you talking again after a while.

"Lady, what was that about?" Thor spoke the question no one else had dared to say since then, and you looked up to found his warm, friendly, thus worried glance. "Thor, leave her..." Natasha jumped in your defence, but you blocked her lifting your hand in the air and she felt silent, still looking alarmed.

You realised in that moment, seeing the concerned and worried faces of all of them turning to survey you, how much all the people gathered in that room really cared about you. You had almost forgot how it felt to have a family. But now you had it. And they deserved to know the truth.

You looked over at Loki, silently pleading for him to repeat the story, as you had no more courage to go over it again. He nodded and told them what you had told him.

A thick silence filled the room.

"A toast to my brother, who attempted so many times to stab me over the centuries, I lost the count!" Thor's beaming voice filled the air, as he lifted his glass high and cracked into a laugh.

It was not Tony's intention to get the team drunk when he came back from the counter bar with one of his most precious tequila bottles and a set of small glasses, in the attempt to wash away the anguish and the blue mood which your confession had brought up. But shot after shot, toast after toast, everyone started to tell painful stories about their failed missions, and you all ended up drinking quite too much. Thor had uncorked a small bottle covered in runes and poured what looked like mead way to many times for Loki and himself, that you noticed the barest shadow of pink blushing also on cheeks of the two asgardian boys.

"Hey, Y/N you know what? I always wished to have a little sister, you can adopt me if you want to" Thor leaned over you and engulfed your thin frame in a sweet, tight hug. "Ohhh you're so sweet" you piped out, wrapping your arms around his massive shape and attempting to catch some air from above his shoulder.

"So, your brother was not a rockstar?" Natasha asked you, picking up the topic nonchalantly. She remembered what you told her that day at your loft. Of course: she was a spy by profession, knowing and remembering things was her daily bread.

"No, he was not, but he used to have a band." You told her simply, disentangling from Thor's arms.

You had definitely drink way too much, but at a sudden your brain decided to supply you with tons of happy memories from your teens that make you smile bitterly for an instant.

You closed your eyes for a flick of a moment, and summoned the blue electric guitar from your room, which appeared shimmering in your lap, its strap already fasten across your shoulders. You caught the praising glance Loki gave you for your magic trick and you smiled back.

You felt the chilly, smooth surface of the sound board laying on your right hip, while the fingers of your left hand reached automatically the neck, positioning on the fingerboard, and the right ones pickled lightly at the metallic chords.

You picked up a random solo, the first one which came to your mind. You fingers run on the chords, like no time actually passed from the last time you played, you muscles and your brain acting in a perfect sync resuming the long hours spent to learn the notes and the arrangements with your brother and his friends in their garage. Oh, how much you had missed that feeling. A flutter filled the pit of your stomach and you felt an accent of goosebumps on your forearms.

"I know that song!" Thor pointed out excitedly "it's my midgarians' favourite!" He added, elbowing hard his brother, who grimaced in reply. "No doubts, Thor... it's AC/DC's Thunderstruck" you laughed openly at him and everyone followed suit.

You really couldn't help it. Plus, Thor was looking over you with his brightest, child-like smile, that was simply impossible to resist.

So you stood up and walked his direction, shaking slightly your shoulders and hips, playing the guitar solo for him. Thor stood up and came closer, your guitar in between the two of you, and began to follow  goofily you rock moves, your hips and shoulders rolling in each other's ones and your heads bouncing lightly at the rhythm. You both vibed at the arrangements you were playing, and ended up in a proper head bang, eyes shut and wide grins on your faces, your long hairs whipping in the air in sync with his shoulder-length, blond ones.

"It's always the quiet ones" Tony smirked in your direction when you ended the song, a chorus of clapping rising from everyone.

The evening simply degenerated from there.

"Another one!" Thor bid you excitedly, bouncing on his tiptoes, his eyes lighten up on his face like a kid on Christmas night.

"Mmm, let's see how this sounds..." you whipped around to meet Natasha wary expression, and started to play the intro of 'Back in Black' for her. She cracked in a laugh and stood up as well; getting your glance, she turned around you so that you were back-to-back and used your body for an half-lap dance, giving out a very sensual movement of her hips which you flanked side titling the guitar's neck. The boys whistled in appreciation at the girls' little show.

"Time for a duo?" Tony jumped up, clapping his hand together and rushing to the big, black grand piano in the far corner of the living room. He sat on the small footstool before it, and run his fingers on the keyboard. "I used to thought that that thing was simply part of the home furnishing" Clint teased him from the couch, laughing. "Well, for your information, I graduated in piano studies from the NY conservatory of music." Tony smirked back, and started to play a song.

Oh, you knew it! You jumped up with your guitar, following him, and the both of you burst in a joyful, and rather drunk sing while you played together some more songs from both your repertories, including AC/DC, Guns N Roses, and Queen.

You twirled around a couple of times while playing, closing your eyes and stomping your right feet with the rhythm, bounced on your knees, mid-kicked the air, tilted the guitar's neck up and down with broader, more confident moves, your head following, your widest smile stamped on your face. You simply unleashed all the rock moves your body felt and remembered.

You knew you were able to go beyond your standard shy, moderate everyday attitude and turn into a wilder, extrovert version of yourself when you played, your brother had grew up that part of your soul. Just, that was not a show for everyone. But you were with friends, and that seemed just like the rightest way to soothe away all the sadness, the angry and the sorrow from the daytime, so you just allowed your vibe to hype.

The guys really enjoyed the show, chorusing with you and Tony the parts they known better and Clint even started to drum the tip of his hands on his knees and on the small table surface, giving further rhythm at the music.

Everything turned up really funny, until you had a very, very bad idea.
