Half an hour later, you were standing in the middle of the training room, eyes shut and furrowed brows, trying hard to visualize in your mind one of your favorite t-shirt so to make it appear in your hands.
Loki had told you it was easier in first instance if you would have thought to familiar items and that was the first thing that came in mind. Well, actually it was one of your brother's t-shirt, but that didn't matter.
Loki had settled himself cross legged on a big cushion near the wall and was looking at you with a curious, kind, soft but still highly focused glance.
When a bundle of dark fabric blurred in the cup of your hands, he shifted upright and paced closer, quietly moving clockwise around your spot, not rushing to avoid to interrupt your concentration.
Nevertheless, the fabric blurred away, making you frown and let out a small sigh.
Loki cupped your hands with his ones and bid you with a whispered, almost purred "Another try". You blushed at his honeyed tone, but obediently closed your eyes shut to concentrate further.
Few moments passed by before you gasped and your eyes shot open when you felt the familiar touch of cotton fabric in your cupped hands.
With a wide smile stretching your entire features, you hold your hands out, still unbelieving that your fingers were clutching a black t-shirt with the word -AC/DC- written in big letters on the front.
"Yes!" Loki jumped up with a winning gesture.
He came over and smiled proudly. "Very well done for the first attempt. Now take a break, magic drains energies... even it seems you have pretty much stamina already" He offered you a bottle of water, that you took eagerly and drunk in few gulps, tossing the shirt above your shoulder.
"You wanted to know how healing works." You said, brushing your mouth with the back of your hand "I have to make physical contact and then I have to search for and grab hold of their pain and swipe it off. Thus, not everything can be fixed like this. Traditional medicine remains very handy, too."
"So you feel their pain?" He looked shocked. "It depends. Most cases are easy and I can override the pain almost instantly. Severe injuries are a different story. And I think I passed out when I tried to reanimate Thor last day because you two are mighty and can naturally withstand much more pain than humans."
He looked appalled and blanked. You waived at him with a soft laugh "Don't worry, I recover quickly". He didn't seemed reassured enough, though, because you see his jaw clenching hard.
"Fancy to play a game with me?" He deliberated derailed the conversation to something lighter.
"A game?!" "Yes, a game, my darling." He grinned "I will name an object present in the tower, and you will try to summon it for me."*
Few hours later you were covered in sweat, your top stick to your back and your hair a messy bush. You were physically exhausted from the effects of channeling your powers but you were so much enjoying the learning of the new trick that you dismissed a couple of time Loki's invite to take a longer break.
You were still standing in the middle of the training room, now surrounded by a vast assortment of things: an entire bucket of green apples, plenty of bottles and cans, some very high stacks of books, all the ring of car keys, a collection of random clothes, a rolling pin and a cutting board from the kitchen, the precious China vase from the living room. Some of the soda cans were crumbled or slightly battered and a couple of books were torn apart: no one told that summoning something was free of risks.
Loki was still sitting cross legged on his spot, cheering and clapping each time you summoned something in the right way; supplying advice and corrections each time that something came out banged up.
He pushed you further when you started to master the technique, maliciously grinning when he asked to summon something from the personal rooms. You tried to deny the request, but you were having too much fun that you had to agree when he poured child-like. He was so adorable in his high mood, that you could have not said no in any case.
Some moments later, Captain's round shield was glittering in a corner, near to Clint's arrow and Natasha's pair of guns. Both of you were giggling like kids.
The game stopped abruptly when the training door burst open and you both whipped around to see Tony storming in. He was wearing his iron suit, apart from the helmet, and he seemed highly pissed off and in a very sparking temper.
"Ohi Reindeer Games!!" He yelled, reaching forward. You and Loki exchanged a meaningful glance. "I was working in the Lab to the new Iron Man mask and when I turned it was vanishing in a shimmer!!! Do you know anything about this?!" He angrily snapped.
You and Loki moved in unison, pointing out with your thumbs at the pile of smashed stuff laying behind your shoulders, looking really guilty.
You both burst in a laugh at the angry growling he let out, swooping his mask back and storming out from the room, grumbling under his breath.
