The brilliant yellow, orange, and red colors of the foliage faded away from Central Park as the winter season entered, and quick enough the entire skyline of New York City was twinkling again with millions of multicolored holiday lights, bouncing off the shop's windows and into the glazed roads.

Pepper finally came back home and that same afternoon the entire team worked together to put up the Christmas tree: it was simply huge, and even if with everyone's help, it took more than three hours to decorate it. Stark had to call the boots of his armor to get the boost to reach the upper part and Peter hang upside-down from the ceiling to put the star on the top.
On Christmas Eve Eve evening, you sat around the living room, all wearing your ugliest Christmas sweaters, ready for the movie marathon, but because some of the guys were leaving early the next morning to spend the holidays with friends and families, someone started to hand out presents and in a minute the floor was covered in presents' wraps and boxes.
Loki slipped out he would have given you your present on Christmas night, and you were highly surprised in hearing that. "Lokh, you are terrible! We said no presents, you and Thor accepted to stay here for the holidays instead to go back to Asgard for Yule and that was my present!! I didn't even bring you anything, guys..." "We told you nothing, dear, don't feel bad about that!" He simply replied at your pouting, turning to share a complicity look with his brother - Uh, that spark in their eyes was far too mischievous to be trusted... what were they plotting?
The exchange of presents lasted more than one hour: most of them were silly things, nerf weapons or avengers gadgets, or bottles of wine or tickets for shows, but the package Tony handed you out after a while was one among the biggest.
"Hem, Y/N, I am not sure how to tell you..." Tony started almost apologetically and you rose a brow to him starting to rip the fancy wrap around the box. "Your blue guitar suffered an... incident."
Your eyes widened in horror and your heart broke into pieces as you opened the lid of the box and found your brother's instrument crushed in pieces.
"The tower was attacked last spring and part of the rooms went destroyed..." Before you could form any sort of thought or word, Tony plucked the box from your hands and replaced it with an equivalent big, but fancier one.
A gasp of surprise quivered from your lips as you pulled out an amazing, brand new, shining white guitar that had all the autographs of the team marked on the soundboard.
The film night was completely forgotten as you started to play a random song, and the rest of the guys gathered around to sing all together for a while.
Loki insisted for you to teach him to play but he was terrible out of it, and after him Clint wanted to try to play something as well, showing rather good skills that left you impressed.
As you helped him out with a particular difficult chord, Tony must have slipped out one of his bad jokes, earning a pop-corn thrown on his face by Clint, at which he replayed hitting him with a random spitball made of a present's wrap before rushing to duck behind Pepper's seat.
Clint mock-roared chasing him down around the room, and Bruce and Steve jumped to shelter Tony; you Wanda, and Nat tried to block him as he run past your couch. Peter threw a random cushion at Steve but missed him and hit your face instead, and Loki and Thor run over him for revenge.
