It was right after dawn when you and the rest of the team piled outside the tower's lobby, covered up to your ears, the frozen ground cricking under your steps.
Thor was on the head of the small procession to reach the meadow on the back of the building, his bright red cape and his blond long hairs sweeping in the cold winter breeze; Loki was right at your side, hauling you upright, already in his black, green and golden armor.
Once Thor stopped at the centre of the small space between the buildings, Tony was the first one to come around to say goodbye "Hey Reindeer Games" he addressed Loki peeking from above your shoulder, his arms wrapped around your waist "make sure to return her home safe and sound" he ended, meeting your gaze again with a highly concerned expression. "Take care" Natasha pushed Tony aside and thrust to hug you thigh. "Sure" you disentangled from her grip and hit an high five with Clint. "Keep us posted" Bruce bid you with a very warm smile, and Steve leaned forward to shake your hand "Good luck"
Turning on your heels, you limped over the two asgardian brothers, who were politely awaiting for you few step forward, and took hold of the hand Loki's was holding out for you.
He gave you a worried glance as he squeezed your hand, and you small smiled at him, trying helplessly to soothe his nervousness. He sighed heavily but hovered his free open hand on your frame, making your heavy jacket and jeans changing in a silky, full-length, forest-green gown, embroidered with tiny, delicate golden details. His lack of trust in the upcoming trip was clear by the fact he had left your combat boot under the fancy dress. He was preparing for any eventuality. That didn't prevent you to notice how he had picked his own colours for the outfit you would have worn on your first trip to his home, thing that made your heart warming a bit.
"Hold on to me" he bid you, wrapping his arm around your waist and holding you firmly onto his chest, his chin landing on the top of your hairs making your face disappear in the crook of his neck.
"Heimdall, when your are ready!!!" Thor raised his hammer at the sky, and the three of you were lifted up in a flash of rainbow light.
Natasha, Clint, Bruce and Tony gathered silently around the the spot where you have been a moment before, circling the dark, rune-carved mark that burned the grass, staring up at the sky with worried eyes.

The flight across the Bifrost was dizzingly, but really thrilling.
"We have to do that again!" You exclaimed the moment you feet touched a ground again, lightheaded and woozy, your knees weak from the ride, still safely hauled on your feet by Loki's strong arms, who looked down at you grinning.
You had reappeared in a huge, round and copper/golden room, which ceiling was completely carved in a intricate, circular-shaped arabesque. Bouncing back from the swaying, you turned around until your eyes stopped at the centre of the room, where a tall, dark guy with amber flashing eyes was standing upright, clutching in his fists around the handling of an enormous, golden sword. He must have been Heimdall, the Gatekeeper of Asgard.
"Whoa! Nice eyes!" You slipped out way too much enthusiastically, and flushed immediately after at the bolt comment. "Yours are gorgeous too, Lady" he politely half-bowed, greeting you in a more elegant way. Thor and Loki greeted Heimdall as he was an old friend and walked you over the door of the room.
"Oh. My. G-..." You stared at the view in front of eyes, unbelieving. Loki and Thor had told you countless stories about their home-town, but no description could have never come closers at the beauty displayed before your view.
The bifrost rainbow bridge ended into a collection of elaborate buildings and intricate spires seemingly built direct into the rock of a mountainous chain, which peaks were covered in snow and ice standing out on a bright blue sky; large structures with sweeping terraces topped many of the cliffs and gleaming pyramids, statues, and columns surrounded a many-tiered structure resembling a full-golden, towering pipe organ at the very center of the city: Odin's palace.
