You gave the indication to Natasha, who set the navigator and drove the black SUV through Manhattan. When she parked, and you all stepped out the car, you tried to ignore the puzzled look the other three were casting you: you were in fact in Soho, walking in one of the richest and most sofisticated area of the city.
The porter greeted you and Natasha when you stepped in the lobby of the building, but suddenly glared at the two asgardian boys who entered after you. "Friends of mine" you told him awkwardly.
The elevator came to a stop at the highest level. You opened the door and tossed the keys on the counter in the entrance with a well known gesture. "Home sweet home" you welcomed in your guests, giggling at their awestruck faces when they stepped into the loft and saw the wide open floor, the black steel feature, very high ceiling and enormous windows.
"No one ever said I was penniless" you shrugged at their surprised faces. "I think I forgot to say my foster parents where rich snobs, didn't I?" You rubbed the back of your neck, nervously. "Foster...?" Loki jumped slightly, looking surprised and... concerned. You nodded. "I was adopted when I was less than 1 year old. Mom and Dad were really sweet people."
You told them to make themselves comfortable while your left ahead to your bedroom. That meant Thor stand near a wall trying not to break something; Loki ahead to survey the huge library, running a finger along the spines of the various books, and Natasha paced around the room, looking interested at the pieces of art scattered almost everywhere.
You make sure to quickly pack your favorite clothes and books before zipping a pair of bags closed. The moment your stepped again in the open space, Loki reached suit and picked up the bags you were carrying. You watched up at him blushing slightly and accepted the courtesy.
Natasha was standing in one corner of the living room and turned around to get your attention "These are beautiful...can you play?" She said brightly, pointing at two marvellous electric guitars laying on their stands. "A little. Surely not like the proper owner" You side smiled, reaching her out. She raised an eyebrow in reply. "My brother." You told her waiving an hand. "He was the rockstar of the family."
"Lady, did-... Er, did you inform your family about the relocation?" Thor asked tentatively. You suddenly looked tense and miserable and all their smiles slipped from their faces quickly. There was no need to explain what the shake of your head and your sad look meant. "Oh. I'm sorry" Thor added gravely. "It has been long time ago" You bitterly smiled back at the three of them.
Natasha picked out the car key and left the apartment to drive it off to near the lobby. Thor took your bags from his brother's hands and paced out to call the elevator back.
You took a guitar case from a drawer and opened it on the nearby couch. You picked up the electric blue one from its stand and carefully set it in its case.
Loki came closer and picked it up the moment you snapped the closures, before you even could reach out the handle.
He walked at your side to the entrance and silently wait when you turned to pick up the keys and have a last look around. He wrapped your shoulders in a sweet, compassionate way and closed the door of the loft behind you both.

Fanfic"I'm sorry" you said to him, not taking your eyes away from the screen. "I beg your pardon?" Now it was his turn to be confused. He turned to look at you. "I am sorry that people had to see and kept to remember a twisted version of yourself. For wha...
