Chapter 7 - Sophomore year

*4 years later*

Today we're starting sophomore year and so far we've been doing good.
Finnick and Annie started dating. Cato an Clove are also dating. And Glimmer and Marvel are our last couple.

The only singles in the group are Johanna, Peeta and me.

Johanna has a crush in this guy named Blight but I'm the only one who knows.

I still have a crush on Peeta. Call me weird but it's true. The whole group knows about my crush. Except for him of course. But they kind of guessed.

Ever since I admitted my crush on Peeta, Johanna calls me Brainless. She says Peeta likes me back and she says is so obvious that I have to be brainless not to see it.

Although she has nicknames like that for everyone. I'm Brainless. Peeta is lover boy or bread boy. Finnick is fish boy. Annie is red or reddy. Clove is Clover. Cato is Swords. Marvel is blonde-y. And Glimmer is Sparkles.

Peeta also has a crush but he won't tell me who it is. When I asked if I knew her he said 'better than you think' but I think I wasn't meant to hear it. I was heartbroken when he said it. But I won't stop loving him.
We're sitting at our lunch table talking while eating.

"Sleepover at my house tonight." Says Finnick and everybody says 'ok' or 'yeah'. It's Friday so it won't matter.

Then Delly comes up to us. 'Oh great' I think sarcastically. She's always trying to flirt with Peeta.

"Hey babe. Are you still coming tonight?" Says Delly in a "seductive" voice to Peeta.

"No, I was never gonna go. And don't call me 'babe' because I do NOT like you." He says angrily.

"But you my boyfriend."

"No I'm not. I'm already dating someone." He says.
Ouch. That hurt. He didn't even tell me. I thought I was his best friend.

"Really? Who?" She say.
Great now I'll know the name of the b*tch that took Peeta from me. Although he was never mine.

"Katniss." He says.

Now I'm gonna..... wait! What did he just said?!
I look at him and he looks at me pleadingly as if saying 'please back me up in this one'. So I just nod. Although I wish it was real.
"I don't believe you." Delly says. "Prove it to me. Kiss."

Great! I think sarcastically.

"Fine." Says Peeta. he walks to me and hugs me and whispers "I'm sorry."

"It's ok." I whisper back truthfully.

And then something I've been waiting for years happens. His lips connect to mine. Our lips move in sync and fireworks go off everywhere. Well, at least for me.

When we brake apart Delly is already gone.

"I'm sorry." Says Peeta.

"It's ok." I reassure him.

"Thank you."

"No problem."

After school we all head to Finnick's for the sleepover.
Once we get there Finnick appears with a bottle.
"Time for truth o'dair." He says.
