Before I know it, my first day as a detective in the Intelligence Unit was finally over. Antonio and Alvin got Jonnathan to confess, Mrs Lanchaster came by to pick Micheal up and gave me a present box and bunch of flowers to say thank you, Micheal didn't want to leave and clung onto me like a monkey but eventually was dragged out by his mother, and now I'm currently doing the last bit of crappy paperwork Kevin gave me to do.
"Who's up for drinks at Molly's? I'm buying," Adam says as he got up from his desk and started grabbing his things. Cheers erupt from everyone as everyone got up and grabbed their things. I remained in my chair, trying to do the paperwork over all the noise.
"Are you not coming sis," Adam asks leaning against my desk.
I shook my head, "Paperwork to finish."
"You know you can do that tomorrow morning right?"
"I know but rather sooner than later. And besides, I don't like bars."
"Ah come on, what bad will it do to have one drink with us at Molly's, and Molly's not like all the other bars."
I raise an eyebrow, "What bad will it do? You all get wasted and then I'm the one to drive you all home. So no thank you, I did it once, I'm not doing it again."
"Please Anna, atleast come with us girls," Kim chips in.
I shake my head, "I'm sorry, but not tonight, I have work." You can see the disappointment in everyone's faces, but I try to ignore it.
"Okay then, see you tomorrow then," Kim says. Adam came over to me and kissed my forehead. "Eww," I squeal playfully as he shakes his head and turns away. Soon I was all alone in the bullpen with paperwork and my thoughts.
To be honest, one side of me is screaming to go with them, but my more responsible side is screaming to finish my work and go home. I finished the paperwork in an hour with my mind as a battle field, trying to decide if I should go to Molly's or not.
Groaning I stood up from my desk. Grabbing my keys to my car and my phone, I head out the precinct to my car. This is either the best choice of my life or the worst.

The drive was short and finally I made it to the bar. Locking my car I head inside. I was immediately met with music, laughter and conversations spreading across the bar. In the far left corner stood my brother, Kim, Kevin and Hailey. Making my way to them, they almost immediately noticed me and a big grin spreads across their faces.
"Change of heart little sis," Adam asks smirking. I roll my eyes and they hand me a beer. I cock an eyebrow at them.
"We kind of hoped you would come, so we got you a beer in advance," Kim says sheepishly and I chuckle. We had small conversations, talking about small things for about 20 minutes now. So far so good. Taking a swig from my beer I noticed Jay sitting lonesome in the other corner with atleast three empty beer bottles around him.
"Hey, want another one?" Kim asks me, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Mhm? Oh, no thank you. I've had enough," I say. I'm not gonna be the one to get drunk tonight, something tells me I'm going to have to take someone home tonight.
"Aw come on, just one more, please," Kim says already handing me another beer. One more can't do much harm can it?
"Fine, but this is the last one, no more," I say. She grins and takes a swig from her own. Suddenly, I just wanted some peace and quiet. The conversation started getting to loud and I just wanted to go home again. I've already been here an hour, so it's probably a good time to get going.
Finishing my drink I stood up, "I have to get going, I'll see you guys tomorrow."
"Aw come on-"
"No, please can I get going now, I've made my mind already," I interrupt Kim. She nods and we all said our goodbyes and I started heading for the door. Glancing to my right I saw a wasted Jay sitting where he sat earlier with atleat 6 or 7 bottles on the table.
I make a U-turn before I can stop myself and head to his table. When I reached his table, I tapped the table gently, making him jump in his seat. "Come on, your coming with me," I say.
"Why?" He slurs.
"Because your drunk and my partner and I'm trying to be nice, now get your butt off that stool and come with me before I change my mind." He stood up and I drapped his arm over my shoulder and put my arm around his torso to steady him. He was excruciatingly heavy and I almost fell to the ground.
Slowly, but steadily we made our way to my car and I dropped him in the backseat. Closing the door I head to the driver's side. Climbing in I ask, "Okay where do you live?"
"In my apartment," Jay answers and I roll my eyes.
"Where's you apartment?"
"Next to my neighbour's," he chuckles.
"Where is you neighbour's apartment?"
"Next to mine," he bursts out laughing and I had to suppress the urge to punch him. Drunk Jay is really not my kind. Deciding he would have to crash at my apartment, I start the car and drove off.
"Are you kidnapping me?" He asks as I park my car in the parking lot of my apartment.
"No Jay."
"Oh, kidnapping is a funny word. It's a kid who's napping and now they put it together and you get kidnapping," he chuckles as I practically dragged him out of my car.
"Yes Jay, such a funny word," I roll my eyes and say sarcastically. Trying to not get offended that he's making a joke of something that once happened to me.
Unlocking my apartment I drag him to my bedroom. The moment I got there he passed out and his weight pulled me to the ground. Realizing I'm ontop of him I quickly scramble back to my feet and literally drag him to my bed. I open the covers before trying to get him on the bed. After countless attempts and groans I finally got him on the bed. Taking his shoes of I place it next to the bed before pulling the covers over him.
Grabbing Heffalump, my stuffed elephant, and a blanket in the closet and taking one of the many pillows on my bed, I head to my livingroom and plop the things down on the couch. I head to my fridge and grab two bottles of water and some of last night's Mac 'n Cheese. While the Mac 'n Cheese are being heated I head back to my room and place one of the water bottles on the nightstand. Something tells me Jay's gonna need it.
After grabbing my food in the microwave, I head back to the couch. I knew I would have to drag someone home if I went to Molly's, but I didn't listen. But to be honest, I'd rather let Jay crash here at my place for the night, then let someone else take care of him. That way I know he'll be okay. I don't know since when I started caring for Jay, since I barely know him, but I kind of like this feeling...
