SEVENTEEN

As they stepped inside the house, he quickly closed the door and dropped her on the couch in the living room. Y/n just sat on the couch with fear running through her whole body and watched him walk into the kitchen and get her some water to drink. Y/n could easily tell that he seemed to be in a rush by the way he was doing the things pretty hurriedly. As he brought the glass of water for Y/n, he handed over it to her and sat on the floor in front of the couch while looking at her. Y/n grabbed the glass with shaky hands and stared at him with confusion in her eyes. She could not understand why he was here instead of taking her to wherever 'dragon eyes' was taking her, as they seemed to belong to the same place.

"What?" he asked while furrowing his brows and looking at her deep in the eyes.

"Huh? Uhh- nothing!" Y/n replied although she was taken aback by his sudden question.

He just nodded and asked her to hurry up and finish the water quickly. She saw how he was getting impatient as time was passing by and yet he tried his best to keep his calm.

"You- you mixed something in this, didn't you?" she hesitantly asked as she could not understand why this random strange mysterious guy was behaving nicely with her but she was proven wrong soon as he replied.

"Yes. I mixed some poison in it so that it becomes easy to take you with me," he replied with a cold tone and if looks could kill, Y/n would have been a piece of dead meat by now. "Do you not understand the meaning of 'Hurry Up'? Huh? Are you a kid still?"

He almost yelled at Y/n which did affect her. She grew up with parents that never scolded her and she also was a good student so she never even got a scolding from teachers as well, therefore she was not used to it. She was not used to someone yelling at her face or raising voice at her and that is why it affected her. He saw the tears that were making their way to Y/n's eyes but as she was looking at him, she saw no guilt or no emotion in his eyes and that is when she realized that she was gravely wrong when she thought that this mysterious man was not a red flag.

"Fine! Don't drink if you don't want to. What a wastage!" with that said he harshly grabbed the glass from her hands and went back to the kitchen.

She was sitting there on the couch like a dumb kid would and stared at him with eyes filled with horror. She was not sure what he has planned for her but she definitely knew that it was not something good. After he came back from the kitchen, he sat beside Y/n on the couch and looked at her with eyes that held no emotions but Y/n could have sworn she saw a glimpse of worry and care in his eyes for a millisecond before he took his gaze away from her.

"You should leave this place as early as possible and by as early as possible I mean, by tomorrow afternoon." he said while still looking in some other direction.

Although he spoke politely but it was almost like a demand or a threat for Y/n and reasons for which, she herself did not know.

"Why?" as the question rolled out of Y/n's mouth, he shot his head towards Y/n.

"Don't ask questions, just do as I say."

"But- I- I don't understa-" Y/n could not even finish her sentence as he spoke.

"You don't have to understand to follow my orders."

"And who are you to order me?" Y/n herself did not know where the fuck she got the courage from to ask him that question but she did anyway and was taken by surprise when she saw him chuckle and then laugh to himself rather than being angry or pissed at her.

"You are just like me, aren't you? Brat!" he replied while a deep chuckle escaped his mouth. "The place that we belong to is not the place you would ever want to visit and he wants to take you there. He has fallen in love with you. Although in this situation you are like the most precious thing for us, but I still don't want you to be there. So yeah, pack your bags quick and move out. Oh and also don't forget to put that locket on, always; it'll protect you from him." he said before walking out of the door and leaving Y/n totally perplexed.

Y/n just found herself sitting dumbstruck on the couch after he left. She did not understand what to make out of it. She did not understand a single bit of what he said. She did not even know if by 'he has fallen in love with you', the mysterious guy meant dragon eyes or it was someone else that she has not met yet. She slowly reached her hand up to the locket that was on her neck and saw it was not any regular locket at all; it was rather some very precious and expensive stone in a hexagonal shape. The locket was of the colour of an emerald which was hung on a slim golden chain and it was shiny as hell; she could see her own reflection on it. After examining the locket carefully, she looked towards the kitchen where the glass was kept. She got up on her two and walked towards; she knew that he was mad and lied that he mixed poison in it and so she picked it up and chugged down the whole glass of water at once. This surely did quench the thirst in her throat but it could not suppress the thirst in her little mind that was eagerly willing to know what he meant before leaving.

As time passed by and the long night was coming to an end, she thought of packing her things up and moving out of the town as the mysterious guy asked her to. Although he was a stranger, it was just their second time meeting each other and also she could not believe him at first, but now she suddenly started trusting him. It was all about his eyes that drew her towards him. It was nothing romantic but she felt an unknown pull towards him. She felt as if she has met him before but even after searching in the deepest corners of her mind, she could never come up with the answer to where she has seen him before. So without wasting any more time, she quickly went to her bedroom and put herself into action.
