THIRTY-TWO

Taking a quick warm shower, she stepped out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body. She gave a long thought about how to deal with that 'grumpy guy' or should she say 'grumpy killer'? She never expected it to be him. She thought of him as her saviour, her guardian angel but never in a million years could she have thought that he would kill her entire family. Although she could have told the police about who she thought the killer was yet she chose not to as she wanted to personally dig up the truth.

She honestly had no idea of how to execute her plan- oh heck; she did not even have a plan in the first place. All she knew was that she has to know the truth and catch the killer before she gets killed but she had no idea how she would do that. She also did immediately sit in front of her laptop to search for a new flat as soon as she changed into her night suit after bath as she would not live in a house that is given to her by the killer of her family. Damn! He even as the spare key of her flat.

'What if he broke into the house at night to kill me?'

"Is that what you think of me?" Y/n heard a familiar voice speak.

Oh boy, there he is!

"Why did you come here?" she asked.

"This is my house and you are just living in it!" and he replied back like the sassy bitch he is.

"What were you doing at my grandma's house yesterday?" Y/n bluntly asked which made him look at her with surprise.

Yes, he was there. He knew that she knew that there was someone present in her grandma's house but what he did not expect from her was that she would be able to recognize him.

"I don't know where your grandma lives and even if I did, I take no interest in visiting your grandma." he said; completely denying the fact that he was there.

"Oh really! Are you sure?" Y/n interrogated him and looked deep into his eyes to try and read his mind but found nothing. He was a void. He held no emotions; at least that is what she saw.

"Yes!"

"Okay. Cool. Shall I get you some water; you must be tired?" Y/n asked him and he nodded.

Oh, Y/n we know where you are headed!

Y/n quickly went to the kitchen to bring him a glass of water while making sure that she only holds the bottom of the glass. Passing the glass to him, she feels satisfied when she saw him wrap his finger around the glass completely. 'It worked!' she thought.

He obviously could read the minds of people but only when he was concentrating fully but at that moment, he was too caught up with the thought of Y/n recognizing him in her grandma's house, and therefore, he could not understand what she was up to. After he was done drinking the water, he handed the glass to Y/n and again, she made sure to hold only the bottom of the glass so that her fingerprints do not overlap his.

"I just came here to check up on you; I came yesterday as well but you were not there. Anyway, I'll leave now." he said while Y/n just nodded.

With that said he left the house and Y/n followed him to the door to close it but only to be surprised by Jungkook's reaction when he saw this man leave from Y/n's house.

"YOU?! What are you doing here? I honestly thought that you were weird but I didn't expect you to be a psychotic stalker."

The guy that left Y/n's house was not even a single bit bothered by Jungkook's words and continued making his way towards the lift.

"What is he doing here, Y/n? You know how much of an idiot he is! He literally threatened me and Jimin for being friendly with you. First, we thought he was your over-protective brother that doesn't allow his baby sister to meet anyone but he literally said he would harm us if we don't stay away from you and that is when we knew he could not be your brother." Jungkook spoke while Y/n looked at him shocked; completely flabbergasted upon hearing how he behaved with Jungkook and Jimin.

Y/n saw him get inside the lift and that is when she spoke.

"Brother? He is not my brother; I don't have any brother Jungkook. I am a single child and him; he is no one to me." Y/n spoke while looking at him and even he lifted his eyes to look at Y/n as those words rolled out of her mouth and soon the lift door closed.

Oh boy, who would tell Y/n that those words hurt him more than anyone could have ever imagined?

"Are you sure he is not bothering you?" Jungkook asked.

"Yeah, he isn't; at least for now. It's just that, it's his house that I live in, and trust me I am actually searching for a new flat so that I don't have to live in his house anymore."

"Okay, tell me if you need any help, Y/n. Anyway, I'll leave now; my friends must be waiting for me. Bye!" Jungkook spoke before giving Y/n a small hug and running towards the staircase.

'Did- did he just hug me?' Y/n stood there frozen; trying to understand what just happened. On the other hand, even Jungkook did not understand why he did what he did. He has never even held a long conversation with any female except his family as he did with Y/n today and fucking hell, HE HUGGED HER!

'Why the fuck am I blushing? Is this how it feels when you hug your crush?' both of them thought.

Waking up to the sound of loud music early in the morning, Y/n groaned as she realized what was going on. It was her stupid neighbours that were blasting music again. Ugh! She looked at the clock hung on the wall only to see that if she does not get up now, for sure she will be late for her work on the first day- I mean the second day; first day she did not even show up.

She quickly jumped out of the bed and made her way to the bathroom and did her everyday routine. After getting out of the bathroom and putting on some light coloured formals, she made her way to the kitchen to prepare herself breakfast. It was her first day and she did not want any negative thoughts to cloud her mind and therefore, she tried to be as much cheerful as she could; she did not want to look gloomy on her very first day at work.

Quickly leaving the flat and making her way to the lift, she heard Jimin call for her.

"Hey! Good morning, Y/n. Are you heading to the bakery?" he asked as Y/n nodded in response. "Cool, me too; let's go together then."

"But- didn't you get threatened yesterday? Jungkook was saying that-"

"We did! He was one of a kind but don't mind him and you can always tell me or Kook if he bothers you."

Y/n simply nodded at Jimin's words. 'He literally isn't aware of what he can do, is he?' Y/n thought while following Jimin into the lift; she did agree to go with Jimin.
